All Maidenhead Aquatics stores will be open over the festive period, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Please note that some may also be closed on New Year's Day, so we'd recommend calling the store you plan to visit before leaving home, as some may also be operating on reduced opening hours. Rest assured, however, that all of our fish and livestock will receive special Christmas feeds and water changes and that we'll ensure they're all well and happy over the holidays.

Today’s the day…… Our opening hours have returned to normal so we are now open Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm, Sunday 10:30am - 4:30pm

As of Monday 09.01.23, Dobbies garden centre will be closing at 5pm Monday-Saturday, which means our opening hours will be 9am - 5pm on those days also.

Our Black Ruby Barbs are really starting to colour up here at Milton Keynes and are showing some beautiful patterns 🐟. Fish focus 🐟 Redhead Tapajos Eartheater The Redhead Tapajos Eartheater is a relatively peaceful cichlid, best housed in groups of 8 or more to avoid aggression. The tank should be spacious, with a sandy base, as these eartheaters like to find food by sifting through the substrate. Other tank mates should be peaceful, and ideally inhabit the upper third of the aquarium. Fish focus 🐟 Giant Danio (Devario aequipinnatus) The Giant Danio, originating from India and Sri Lanka is the perfect addition to a larger temperate aquarium. Fast flow and powerful filtration is essential, and a temperature range of 18- 25 degrees is ideal for this fish. This occasionally boisterous fish is best housed in groups and can be kept with other temperate loaches, catfish, and Bitterlings, and should never be stocked with smaller shy species.
