Something for all our woolly friends! Why not check out the lovely Allium Threads who are hosting an open studio this Friday and Saturday.

My workshop will be open for visitors this Friday and Saturday, 15th and 16th November from 9am to 4pm each day.
I am in Culworth in Northamptonshire, not far from the Oxfordshire border.

I dye using natural dyed and produce a range of yarn, embroidery thread, fabric, patterns and kits.

There will be a pop up shop with some perfect gifts for the knitter or crocheter in your life or for that peaceful project for yourself over the holidays.

It was a tad damp at Alpaca Evolution this week! We hope everyone came through the horrendous weather unscathed. In complete contrast the little boss paid a bright and sunny after school visit to admire the site and, more importantly, the machinery last week and was suitably impressed! This week the heavens opened and the long awaited company swimming pool was finally installed 😉

Last week also saw the start of the new building going up! Very exciting times and we look forward to sharing the build with you over the coming months! So many exciting developments to come all aimed at improving both our alpacas well being and to improve the experience of our visitors to the farm....but more on that later!

With the somewhat lack lustre summer now behind us attention has to come back to the prospect of another delightful British winter! There is a lot going on at the farm at the moment with diggers of various sizes hard at work on a number of projects! In August we had tracks installed through Time Charter and 16 Acres to allow for better winter access and this week has seen Nick and Dutchy going all bob the builder with a mini digger and dumper improving the tracks up the top of the farm. We have also at long last found a use for our Suri seconds, Alonso Burgos, an old friend of Nick's once told him some fibre was only good for filling holes in the ground and Nick has finally realised that this may just be true! Also much cheaper than Terram!

Yesterday saw our first fleece sale and we wanted to take a minute to thank all those who attended, it really was great to meet you and hear about your plans for the fleeces you purchased. We also really appreciated seeing what some of you have done with previous purchases, we were simply blown away with the quality of your workmanship and the finished yarns. The competition winner has been drawn (please watch your emails!!) and we look forward to welcoming you and your guest on farm for your amble with an alpaca 😊

Tomorrow is the day to come and buy your alpaca fleece! We are open from 10am until 3pm at Fair Winter Farm MK17 0RB. We will have alpaca fleeces in a range of colours and grades. We look forward to welcoming you on farm!
