Situated on the B3224, the main route across Exmoor, it is a small village on the River Exe with activities including hunting, shooting, fishing and horse riding. The centre of the village surrounds a traditional village green, and is home to a post office and general store, 2 car repair garages, youth hostel and primary school as well as a children's play area. Two main Hotels and public houses,

The Crown and Exmoor White Horse, A number of Bed and Breakfast and Self catering providers in the village and surrounding area.

Good evening all. Just a heads up regarding the filming due to take place around the Crown hotel and Exford stores. They will require the area around the " triangle" and from.the Crown Hotel to the Old post office to be kept clear. This includes the area in front of the Bus stop. They will commence setting up and filming from 7am on the 16th November. Thanks to all that will have to move vehicles. I will send this again tomorrow to make sure everyone receives.

"Today on Exmoor was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."

ROAD SWEEPING
Tuesday 10th August.
If everyone could move their vehicle in the village from 7am. This will allow the sweeper to have a good clean and get to the edge. Will be nice to have our village looking nice and clean for the Exford show on Wednesday.
