Update re my booking system. As lots of you know I groom dogs part time & balance that with working at the Marlowe Theatre. To help me keep on top of booking you all in and managing your appointments I’ve introduced a self booking system. You should all start to receive booking confirmation as I transfer everything over. Once you’re in the system you’ll be able to manage your bookings from there.

Pls note; payment is not needed upfront and bac’s transfer or cash is still ok to use on the day. Any questions please just ask.

Just a gentle reminder that payments 💵which a lot of you now make by BACS transfer should always be made on the same day as your grooming appointment. Ideally at the same time as you collect.

⚠️ we’re having issues with our water supply again ⚠️

The water is trickling out of the tap at best making it impossible for me to bath the customers. Southern Water have confirmed an ongoing issue and they’re telling me it will take 28 days to resolve!

I will keep everyone updated. Currently waiting for a manager to respond but that takes 48 hours.

If no improvement overnight tomorrow’s appointments will sadly all need to be cancelled 😞

❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌ Hemolytic Anemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog has been reported to suffer from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

I’m now closed for the Bank Holiday plus a couple of extra days while I visit family in the South of France, I’ll try my best to find the sunshine!!!

Not only does he help us , he helps lots of local struggling families.

Thank you to everyone for their patience this year. I normally book most of you a years worth of appointments but due to a few changes this end there’s been a delay this year.

I think this may be one of the proudest moments in our schools history! We are now recognised by the Kennel Club as a listed status club. Which means we can host the bronze, silver and gold good citizenship awards… and of course the puppy foundation course to bolt on to our exisiting puppy party! We are excited to promote responsible dog ownership and guide the next generation of good dogs and their owners. ❤️🐾
