There's just over two weeks to go until the Birchington Model Railway Exhibition on Saturday 4 May at The Centre in Alpha Road. It promises to be the largest event of its kind in Thanet this year.
Among all the railway layouts and trade stands, hosts East Kent Model Railway Society will be launching its latest limited edition model wagon in 00 scale. We chose a Birchington business this time out and all 108 models have arrived safely with us from the manufacturer in Wales - and they look really good!
They are bound to sell fast and will be on sale for the first time at the event which opens at 10am and continues until 4pm. Adult admission is £5 while children under 16, accompanied by a paying adult, are free. Look forward to seeing you on the day!

Warning!

There is a concrete lawn roller in the road at the top of Laundry Hill. Just the roller. No handle. If it rolls down the hill it could cause significant damage to anything coming the other way. No idea how it got there or how to move it. It's hefty.

A MESSAGE FROM THE ADMIN.

Hi all. I set up the Minster365 Group page 2 or 3 years ago with the intention of keeping an eye on it and moderating it where necessary. However I don't seem to have the time to spend doing that anymore and as I don't have the facebook app on my phone I am always missing messages from people. I have noticed that there have been a few complaints about various postings on the page which I apologise for not being able to address properly.

I really wanted to say that with me not being able to look after the page properly anymore would anyone else like to take over and devote the necessary time to it? If not then I will most likely close it down for good. There are a few pages devoted to Minster on FB it seems, with Marvellous Minster being one of the more popular ones. If anyone would like to give it a go then please message me and we'll sort something out. I will give it a couple of weeks to see what reponse I get.
