The BHS Junior Challenge Awards scheme helps children to discover, develop and nurture their love for ponies and the outdoors. Run on Thursday evenings in Term Time, during the summer we’ll have this on every Thursday morning.

Join us for our Mix and Match Riding Academy Days. Every Wednesday throughout the summer from 31st July. You’ll work on a range of different disciplines which could be Dressage, Prix Caprilli, Le Trek, Showjumping, Eventer’s Challenge, Games, Equi-fun, Drill Riding or Pair Dressage. We’ll decide on the day depending on the riders and the weather.

Evie won our rider in most need of a drink because of her amazing hat hair after riding Herbie. 🤣

Ellie was the winner of the 'Big Girl Pants' award for her super confidence throughout the day ❤️

GH Members Club

Our GH Members Club is about the life-enhancing experience, that a connection with horses brings to groups and individuals. We know that sharing experiences, learning, and developing together has a direct impact on our quality of life, mental and physical well-being. All alongside being involved with these incredible animals in a rural setting.
As a member of GH Members Club they can get a range of different benefits and opportunities for the regular riders at Grove House Stables LLP. These benefits include:

• A 5% discount on our range of private and group lessons, activities and selected events if booked as single sessions.

• A 10% discount on blocks of 6 sessions purchased with our exclusive token packages. These packages replace what was our multibuy discount. Purchasing the tokens allows you to be able to cancel and re-arrange sessions easily. Tokens can be purchased by logging into your Grove House Stables EcPro account and clicking on Tokens. When booking your sessions the token should be automatically assigned to the session.

• Priority, early and privileged bookings and early notification of sessions and special activities. The details for these will be emailed out to you each half term.

Grove House Stables Pony Club Centre, gives riders the opportunity to progress and develop their relationship with horses and riding.

A Pony Club Centre is exactly the same as a Pony Club Branch other than we supply the ponies; our children can than participate in all the activities that are typically held at a Pony Club Branch.

If your child is a keen horse rider, they need to be a member of our Pony Club Centre as all kinds of new doors will open to enhance their progress. The Pony Club is a huge national organisation with an examination structure that is recognised internationally. Qualifications earned in the Pony Club can be transferred to other national and international qualifications.

What is Pony Club Centre Membership?
In 1998 the Centre Membership Scheme was launched for young people, without their own ponies who ride at riding schools, to become Members and take part in all that The Pony Club has to offer. Members are encouraged to improve their knowledge and abilities by working towards their Standards of Efficiency Tests, beginning with the “E” test and culminating with the prestigious “AH” Test. Most of all the main aim is to make membership informative and fun.

The pony club currently meets on 2 evenings a week, from 5.30pm during the school term time. Our sessions include an hour’s riding session and an hour’s horse care session. Throughout the summer we’ll be meeting every Thursday morning from 10am to 12 noon.

Monday is our 1st Adult Day Camp! Did you know it was fully booked within 2 hours of going live on ECPro.

13:00- Polework Inhand Demonstration
13:15- Polework Inhand Practical
13:45- Horses to bed
14:00- Prize giving and departure

Today's Drill Ride.

Most of the riders have never ridden a drill ride before. Some have never ridden the pony they're on before today. What a start they are making to their riding journey. Well done to all of you.

Mix and Match Wednesday!

This week saw us doing a handy pony course this morning with Zinc having a winning time of 41 seconds! A full 10 seconds faster than Knight in 2nd place.

This afternoon, we made our own drill ride and filmed it. The video is coming soon. (Once I've muted Judith's voice)

Next week is our last Mix and Match Day, and we will be jumping in the morning, followed by Glitter and a drill ride. ✨️ Spaces are limited for this, so please book in ASAP to avoid disappointment. There is only a few spaces left.

On Monday the jumping activity day participans decorated their ponies with some plaits, feathers and paints. They did jumping without reins and worked on straightness to jumps in the morning.

In the afternoon they built a little course and used Biscuit to try some of the jumps out! A game of chase me Charlie to finish the ridden session saw Herbie jumping to victory!

We've had some requests for activities on Mix and Match Wednesday.

Wednesday 28th August will be Glitter Day.

We will show jumping in the morning, followed by Glitter Pampering and a drill ride in the afternoon.

Feel free to bring your own glitter. Just remember horses do not like aerosol cans, so they can not be used.

Mix and Match Wednesday.

There are not so many pictures from today, but this morning, we did some clear round jumping. Followed by learning about condition scoring, washing tails and old school gymkhana games, including a water race on foot and finishing off with getting rather wet 🤣
