This was an epic piece - carved and then burnt lettering into very old seasoned oak. It was SO hard it took ages and I could only do 30 minutes at a time before my hands hurt!! Oiled to bring out the grain and longevity.
Thankfully the recipient was very happy, and now you know who to call if you need help with your trees!

This oak plaque sits under a Sweet Chestnut tree, so doesn't get any sun. It's been sanded back, re-engraved and painted to sharpen the enscription, and varnished. Ready for another 12 years.
