We are delighted to announce the first of a series of upcoming talks in partnership with the Wandle Industrial Museum!

Join us on Saturday 1st February, at 11:00 for an engaging talk, exploring the history of Phipps Bridge before Deen City Farm's arrival in 1994.

Discover the fascinating past of Bunces Meadow and the area across the river, which has hosted everything from varnish factories and elegant homes to textile works and WWII training grounds.
Join us to support the farm and uncover more about the rich local history!

Our cows have been thrilled to learn they’re also contributing to a tradition of cattle-grazing and have solemnly promised to eat even more grass going forwards.

Your party date can be throughout the year but you must make your booking during the month of January for this offer to be applicable.

Happy New Year from Deen City Farm and Riding School.

Thank you for your continued support during the year. 2024 was a particularly tough year for us which found us at risk of closure due to some electrical problems. Thanks to the generosity of our local community we have been able to stay open and are looking forward to a brighter 2025.

We would like to thank everyone who supported us by giving to our appeals, becoming a Friend of the Farm, volunteering your time to help, taking part in one of our educational programs, booking a horse riding lesson in our Riding School, getting involved in our work in another way or by just paying a visit to the farm.

In whatever ways you have got involved with the farm we thank you and hope to see again in 2025!

P.S. We will be closed New Years Day and open again on the 2nd of January 2025.

Looking for the perfect gift? Have you looked at our Young Farmer and Own A Pony programmes?

Join our livestock staff for the day and learn about all the work it takes to keep the yard running and all the animals at the farm happy. It’s not all hard work though, you might learn all about handling small animals, or maybe take the ferrets for a walk around the yard!

Alternatively find out what it takes to Own a Pony for the day. From mucking out in the morning to feeding and grooming during the day. Each day there will be a different themed activity, subjects vary but could be tacking up to ride or plaiting for competition. The children go out for a half hour ride and play fun horse themed quiz's and games. All Own a Pony participants will receive a certificate and rosette on completion of the day.

We are offering a special combined experience of a ride on a pony and a trip to Santa's Grotto.

You will receive a ten minute trek on one of our beautiful ponies followed by a meet and greet with Santa himself in his Grotto.

Tickets cost £20 and include a gift from Santa. These are being run at various times. Slots are limited so be quick to secure your spot!

When the handsome Bertie came to us 2 years ago he weighed in at 640kg (he’s a pony and only about 14hh). Two years later, a lot of different girths and he’s lost a massive 150kg!! And he is is much healthier and happier for it. Slimmer of the year Bertie. ❤️❤️

Pony Rides will be open as usual over the festive period including this weekend.

We offer Pony Rides for children aged 2-7yrs - they happen at various times throughout the week and must be booked in advance. £2.50 per go.

Pony rides are a short walk on a pony with a leader and side walker.

Children must be able to sit up independently and safely fit into one of our riding hats. (If your child has hair accessories or high pony tails these will need to be removed before we can safely fit a hat).
