Good morning, I've had permission to post there here from mum (Sarah)

My name is Hannah, and as you all know, Mick sadly passed away in January after his battle with cancer. My dad was a much loved volunteer at the shop and would stand and chat with everyone that came in.

To try and give something back, my husband and I have decided to do the 10k Shine night walk in Manchester in October. Any funds we manage to raise will be donated to Cancer Research in the hopes that we can prevent just one family feeling the pain we do every day.

This is something we've been speaking about for a while and will help us keep dads memory alive, we will also be posting regular updates on our funding page and our personal profiles.

We know times are hard for everyone, but every penny, no matter how small it may seem, means the whole world and more to our family.

The last few years have taught me that when it is our time to leave this world no one can stop it. We have one life to live. The material things we invest in are left behind only to be discarded. The shop will be closed for the day tomorrow (valentines day) as we support Micks family at the service to celebrate Micks life.

Please spare a thought for Sarah, their children and their family as they send Mick on his final journey.

May he rest in eternal peace ❤️

You may have noticed there was a sign in the shop door saying we would be closed for a few days..

It is with heavy hearts we have to announce that at 3:45 January 12th, our wonderful Mick passed peacefully at Lancaster hospital surrounded by Sarah and their 3 children.
Mick was a huge part of our family and greeted every customer with a smile, nothing was too much trouble for him.
Our of respect for the family at this hard time as they grieve the loss of their husband, dad and grandad, we decided to close for a few days.
We are now back open as normal ❤️

Micks funeral will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium February 14th at 3:30, followed on at the Carleton (Alhambra) from 5ish
All are welcome to attend, the theme is football (scarves, shirts etc if money allows you to), or smart casual as Mick was never really a suit wearing person.
