Friends of Warwick Park

Friends of Warwick Park We encourage membership of people who use the park and organise events to raise funds to assist with any required improvements.

The Friends of Warwick Park are a volunteer community group set up and run by local residents for the purpose of improving and maintaining the park facilities for the use of the whole community. The Friends of Warwick Park are a volunteer community group set up and run by local people for the purpose of improving and maintaining the park facilities for the use of the local community. We also make

applications for funding that may become available which will help with the maintenance and improvment of the park. The play area within the park has been renovated and we try to encourage the youths that use the area to enjoy it but to respect it. There is plenty of space for other activities including football on the large field where there are goal posts. Dog walkers are welcome in the park but should remember that children play here and they should be responsible and clean up after their pets. Barbara Sutton - Chair

Do come along, all welcome.
And have you spotted the new signs next to the carvings and the "perching bench" near the pond?
Chainsaw carver Ashley Brockhurst created it from the final part of the oak trunk.

The Friends of Warwick Park (FOWP) thank Wirral Borough of Culture 2024 for the funding for the owl and the Saxon carvings.
Both were created by Ash Brockhurst Chainsaw Carver, from the trunk of one of our oak trees felled earlier this year.
On 9 May 2025 it will be 90 years since Warwick Hey Recreation Ground was officially opened.
Join us to celebrate during 2025 at events in the park - details to follow.
