Talking pesky parasites in cats 🪱 🐈

Cats can get roundworm and tapeworm by accidentally eating their eggs, and it’s important to take preventative treatment by giving them a regular wormer.

Symptoms of worms include:

🐈 Weight loss
🐈 Eating more
🐈 Diarrhoea
🐈 Tapeworm segments (which look like grains of rice) in your cat’s poo

Say hello to the very handsome Vinnie, one of the many lovely dogs we had the pleasure of meeting at Paw-Tea in the Park this weekend! 🐶🌳

Vinnie popped by our stand with his humans and absolutely stole the show with his charm and tail wags. Whether he was sniffing out treats or soaking up cuddles, he made sure to leave pawprints on all our hearts 💛🐾

It was a joy to meet such a happy chap — and we’re so glad he stopped by to say hello! 🐕✨

Meet Bee, our amazing client care associate

😀"Hi, I'm Bee I have worked at Abbey House for just over 3 years, initially at Kippax and now at Halton.

🐕I love all aspects of my job from booking appointments, answering queries and welcoming our clients (both the human and furry ones) and everything in between.

💖I love forging relationships with our clients and their much loved pets and I’m very fortunate to work with such a fabulous and supportive team.

🐈🐈 Away from work I’m a devoted cat mum to my two gorgeous rescue cats, Penny and Dotty, who like to keep me on my toes."

🐾🎉 What a paw-some day at Paw-Tea in the Park! 🎉🐾

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Morley’s Paw-Tea in the Park this weekend! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand — it was wonderful to see so many friendly faces (both human and furry 🐶).

From the fun dog show and buzzing craft stalls to the sunshine, snacks, and smiles, it was a brilliant day celebrating our amazing community 💙

We’re so proud to have supported this free, family-friendly event once again — and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Freddie 🐶

Freddie came in recently for his annual booster with Vet Virginia — and while he was here, we also took a closer look at his ears after a recent ear infection. 👂💉

Virginia carried out a thorough check-up and had a peek down both ears to make sure everything was healing well. Freddie was a brilliant patient (with lots of tail wags!) and has gone home with some treatment to help things settle fully. 💙

We’ll see him again soon for a follow-up, but for now, he’s back to enjoying life — ears, nose and tail in full working order! 🐾

Meet Florence the Bengal💕

Florence and sister Fleur who was a little camera shy, came in to the Batley clinic to see vet Virginia for a medication review. They are just over 12 months old and they have been visiting the team since they were kittens. They have the most amazing markings.

Although a little shy for the camera, Virginia was able to give them a clean bill of health and their necessary medication. Isn't she adorable? 😻
