As part of the Galen Myotherapy Level 5 Diploma, our students will be studying the complexities of the different Planes of Movement in dogs.
‘Plane’ is one of our unique Galen Myotherapy ‘6 P’s’ which our students will learn and in this ‘P’, they will be analysing different movement patterns and the reasons behind why dogs cannot always move through these different Planes.

Understanding such complex fundamentals enables therapists to further enhance their treatment plans and to ultimately help more dogs.

I'll be at my stand all weekend and in the Wellness Tipi at 11.30 on Sunday talking about Galen Myotherapy and our unique, choice-led Positive Pact approach. Observing posture and gait prior to hands-on treatment, some useful tips for dog guardians including how to safely apply a couple of simple but effective techniques.

This year's trade stand list is almost complete. You can see from our first draft that we have no shortage of amazing exhibitors this year! There's everything you could want for your dog, plus plenty of non-dog related stalls, scrumptious food, mouth watering drinks and some fantastic local clubs and charities as well.

List is subject to change so we recommend checking with the exhibitor first if you are coming specifically for them. Our Wifi provider will ensure easier transactions but we also recommend bringing cash. Full list will be on our website before the festival.

It's that time of the year again when we search for our show programme cover star.

Does your dog have what it takes? (Just like last years winner pictured here ❤️ )

We are looking for the best looking pooch to feature on the front cover of this year's festival show programme; programmes are available throughout the weekend and are also available to download before the big event; so your dog might start needing to offer pawtographs if they let the fame go to their furry heads!

The winner will get a one hour photoshoot the North East Dog Photographer,, Rebecca of Sit Stay Capture - The Adventure Dog Photographer and an image will be chosen from the shoot for the front cover.

How to enter?
Post ONE photograph of your dog in the comments below. One entry per dog (for those of you who have more than one dog) we suggest you post the one that shows off your dog the best. Photographs must have been taken within the last 12 months.

Make sure you’ve followed us on Facebook so you can keep up to date with competition announcements.

Our festival team will pick our top 5 favourites and then we will put it to you, our wonderful followers to choose the winner. Last year it went a little crazy with voting so we might change the way voting happens to make it a little safer from spammers.

The winner must be able to travel to Druridge Bay Country Park on the 13th July (weather permitting). The winner will receive all digital images from the photoshoot and a pair of weekend tickets to the festival and an awesome goodie bag. One image from the shoot will be used as the front cover of the 2024 North East Dog Festival Show Programme. One entry per dog. Multiple entries will not be accepted. Closing date is Monday 1st July at 10pm. The top 5 will be added to a post and the winner will be announced.
