I’ve always loved horses since I was young.
My very first job was at a yard as a stable hand at 16, but I developed severe hayfever and my asthma declined.
Now that my allergies and asthma are very well controlled, I’ve recently started up riding lessons, and I’ve finally fallen in love with a hobby again!
Does anyone else ride?

Controlling your own dog is important, but managing to control a big group of nutcases is importanter 🤪

At MCM, I take great pride in all the hours of training that goes into creating calm, controlled and safe packs.

As an ad-hoc walker, I have different groups of dogs every day. I always consider each dogs’ personality and level of training, make sure that they are all properly socialised with one another, and choose the right places to walk depending on where my dogs are at.

This means that my dogs, myself and members of the public can feel safe and confident when we inevitably cross paths.

That being said… If you see a dog walker with a large group of dogs, be prepared to pause and/or give some extra space where it may be needed, even if they’re all on leads and your dog is super friendly, be aware that every dog is in a different place with their socialisation and training, and may need space.

As of 1st March for new clients and 1st April for existing clients, I will be making some adjustments to my rates and services.

These adjustments fall in line with the rise in cost of living, inflation and business running costs, such as insurances and fuel.

Increasing my prices is not a decision I’ve taken lightly, but I can no longer keep absorbing the rise in costs by myself.

You will find that my rates are still very competitive for our local area, while still reflecting excellent value and quality within all of my services.

The changes will be as follows:

1 hour group walks £13
30 minute solo walk £13
1 hour solo walk £18
Pet-sitting £45 per day, £5 per additional dog from the same household.

Home visits and small animal care will remain £10 for 1 visit per day and £15 for 2 visits per day.

Weekends and bank holidays will continue to be charged at a rate of 1.5 for walks, home visits and small animal care.
This will not be applicable to pet-sitting or training.

I will be removing the option of half hour group walks from my service list.

I will also be introducing a training service at a largely discounted price while completing my Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma with the British College of Canine Studies.
This service will focus on loose-lead walking, recall, puppy training and basic obedience.

Kongo is my youngest and my BIGGEST dog. Weighing in at a whopping 75kg at just 1 year old, he really is a giant baby.
Kongo is a Boerboel, a South African mastiff bred for all-purpose protection.
He enjoys his training, exploring the hills of Mossley and nibbling on ears for attention!

Visited earlier this week with Koda the GDS, Effie the Cane Corso and Hetty and Pepper the Supermutts!
A brilliant, secure, off-lead field situated in the picturesque farmlands of Dobcross. I was able to book less than 30 mins before my walk, thanks to their remote operating service and it went super smoothly. I will say take care on the car park in wet weather though, as it’s quite steep and gravelly, so my little van struggled quite a bit! (They are booked in to have this tarmacked). I’ll be visiting again for sure!

I’m very excited to announce that I will be working under the banner to offer puppy training, basic obedience, recall and leash walking sessions, alongside my regular walks and pet-sitting of course.

Large, slobbery, squishy breeds have my heart 🖤
It’s been a pleasure walking Lola for the last few months and watching her confidence grow. Her sister Nala also joined us this week while her momma was on holiday.
We swam, we hiked, we fetched, we wrestled, we met new friends and we found super muddy puddles 🙈
