Totally flabbergasted and surprised to receive this nomination last week. Some of you will be aware of my fight to get my boys the help they need and then an added fight against breast cancer at the end of 2024. The fact I've only been able to attend a few meetings recently and that these nominations come from members makes this even more special. The words that came with it were beautiful.

"Ruth is truly inspiring and everyone needs to hear her story!

She has been through so much in the last few years but this last year in particular.

She is a fighter - she's not scared to tackle people's perceptions and the norm in order to get what's right for her family. She has shown determination, resilience and perseverance against the educational system - as a result of this has changed her business so she can support her family when they need her. Moo's Pet Sitting was born to give her flexibility something her interior design business couldn't and I know that this was such a hard decision for her. I know that she has now got a 3rd business idea which she shared with us as a result of the fight she has had and I know that although this may be paused at the moment it will be successful - people need it!

The end of the year saw her take on another fight - that of her own health and I know that she will conquer that too.

2025 is going to be another tough year but I know that Ruth will tackle it as she always does with honesty, openness and a smile (and hug where need be!)"

Taking a little break from pet sitting while I focus on cancer treatment, but I was so happy to step in for a last-minute sit over Christmas 🎄!

I got to spend time with Loki, the sweetest ginger & white tabby boy, who made my recovery time a little brighter. Of course sporting my new Christmas socks 😻🧦🎅

While I can't book sits in advance right now, I might be available for last-minute visits depending on how I’m feeling. Thanks for understanding and supporting me during this time! 🐾💛

A lovely week spent chasing flies, playing with the laser and watching the weather with this pair.

Every time I visit Tilly becomes less timid and she is now happy hanging about with myself and Tibby. She even came to me in the garden and when I called. A slight fright when I couldn't find Tibby but there he was camouflaged on a throw 😹

Buddy, a cat who knows what he likes and doesn't like and shows that sometimes all that is needed is the closest thing in your bag to a bit of string 😸. He's turned down ping pongs, laser and numerous cat toys.
