We've already had a couple of naughty pups snaffle some raisins this week, and they've had to come in for emergency vom jag 💉🤮 followed by activated charcoal ⚫

🍇Raisins and grapes contain a toxin which can cause acute kidney failure in dogs and cats. The toxicity is idiosyncratic - that means it is not dependent on the dose (amount) eaten, and some could eat lots of raisins/grapes/current/sultanas and be fine, whereas others could eat two tiny raisins with catastrophic effects.

Please keep the mince pies, panettone, and christmas pudding away from your pets, and if they have managed to snaffle ANY then bring them in to us asap!

That time of the year again 😔 Some dogs are not comfortable with fireworks and can be really frightened by them.

Monday good news.
Albus the Guide Dog we sponsor has past all his training with flying colours. He has been placed with his person Gordon and is now very much part of their family.

Button's is our new sponsor puppy and we will follow their journey through training over the next couple of years.

We arrived back Saturday evening after a dreadful wet and windy trip from Skye.
Roxy and Dai were not fussed about posing at the famous castle 🫣I agreed with them as the rain/sleet was horizontal and I couldn't even hold the phone straight 😂

Back to normal working today (Monday 28th)

Dai snoring gently after his 4th Hydro session The Veterinary Wellness Centre 😍🐾
He is doing so well and walked the length of the Commonwealth Pool three times in this afternoon's session. He is stopping less to be taken to the back of the tank by the treadmill.

Been very quiet here between Domino crossing 🌈 and being very 🤮
However thought Dai's second session of Hydrotherapy at The Veterinary Wellness Centre is interesting.
Dave Harley came to watch so was able to take great videos. The wee man did brilliant - he walked the equivalent of a length of the Commonwealth Pool.
He was much more confident and happy this time

In celebration of Domino ❤️🐾 - Tannahill Artist a.k.a Demino 👹
10.07.11 to 15.09.24 🌈

This wee Beagle turned his paws to so many things - Beagle Racing, Agility, Scentwork, Wag It Games, Trick Club, Truffle Hunting, Tracking, Man Trailing, Hoopers and Rally. He always gave things 100%

Through Domino, I met and made friends with loads of wonderful people. He gave me so much joy and so many challenges.I learnt so much.

From disappearing for three hours after a deer which I saw three times, having a nonchalant wander along the bypass to having that incredible nose which he loved putting to use at Scentwork, Tracking and Man Trailing.
No need to dwell on the Resource Guarding 🫣 though that is why I was lucky to have him.
