Happy National Golden Retriever Day from law’s paws & AG Grooming! 🐾🐕 Today, we’re celebrating the loyal, lovable, and endlessly friendly Golden Retriever! These gorgeous dogs hold a special place in our hearts, and it’s no wonder they’re one of the most adored breeds in the world ❤️ Golden Retrievers aren’t just known for their cheerful smiles and wagging tails; they’re also incredibly intelligent, making them brilliant companions, therapy dogs, and working dogs. But as much as we love them, they do come with a few grooming needs to keep them looking and feeling their best! ✨ Grooming Tips for Your Golden ✨ 🖤 Brushing: Their luxurious, golden coats shed a lot, especially in spring and autumn. Brush them 3-4 times a week (or daily during shedding season) to remove loose hair and prevent tangles. 🛁 Bathing: A regular bath with a dog-friendly shampoo will keep their coat clean, shiny, and smelling fresh. But we know they can be a mission so just bring them to us! 🤩 👂 Ear Care: With their floppy ears, Goldens can be prone to ear infections. Clean and check their ears regularly to avoid build-up and irritation. ✂️ Nail Trimming: Don’t forget to keep their nails trimmed to prevent discomfort. 🐕 Seasonal Maintenance: During heavy shedding periods, step up the brushing—it’s a great bonding activity too! Caramel and Jellybean popped in for a quick nail trim, and now their nails are on fleek! ✨💅 A little cuddle, a quick clip and file, and they’re ready for their next adventure. But first, they had to refuel with a tasty fenugreek snack – absolutely delicious! 😋🌿 We must confess, there’s a lack of Jellybean photos this time – a bit of a faux pas on our part! 🌟 Turbo the Maltese Cross graced us with his love during his signature groom, and what an absolute delight he was! 🌟 Turbo was a little apprehensive at first, but he soon settled in and started to enjoy his pampering session. A relaxing bath, a warm blow-dry, and a thorough groom had him looking his best. Although, let’s be honest—those pesky paws were a bit of a challenge! 😅 From the moment I bathed him, Turbo showered me with kisses and cuddles, and I couldn’t resist that gorgeous little face and loving personality ❤️ He truly is a special boy! For his session, Turbo enjoyed the calming scents of lavender and bergamot to keep his coat looking bright and fresh, paired with some Love Potion ❤️—a combo that smells absolutely divine! To match, he had a Love Potion facial, enjoying every massage and cheeky lick 😋 With a coat as soft as cotton wool, Turbo was treated to guava and mangosteen conditioner and a generous helping of Knot So More to keep those mats at bay. 🐾 Cleo the Maltese Terrier: Starting the New Year in Style! 🐾 The sweetest little Cleo popped in for her New Year groom, and what a darling she is! 💕 Cleo and her gorgeous white coat deserved something extra special, so we treated her to a soothing lavender and bergamot bath 💜, paired with a touch of Love Potion 💘—a truly delicious choice! 😋 Cleo indulged in a Love Potion facial too, which she absolutely adored! 💆‍♀️🥰 Keeping her long, flowing coat tangle-free is always a top priority, so we used plenty of Knot So More to work through those tangles and finished with a splash of primrose conditioning spray for that soft, silky finish 🌸 Despite her tiny size, Cleo is mighty when it comes to the blaster! 🌬 She wasn’t fazed one bit and patiently waited for her favourite part: the fluff dry and a big cuddle 🤗 And let’s not forget her kisses—I was spoiled with a few smooches from this affectionate girl! 😘 From her adorable little face to her wagging tail, Cleo is truly the cutest! 🐶 Wag wag, kiss kiss! 💡 Did you know? 🌸 Sully, the Gracious and Beautiful Clumberland Spaniel 🌸 Meet Sully, the stunning Clumberland Spaniel who absolutely adores coming in for her regular pamper sessions! 🛁💨 She’s always up for a cuddle, bath, blow-dry, and a stylish clip – though the pawdicure is a work in progress! 😅 Thanks to her mum’s amazing efforts with desensitisation, Sully has been doing brilliantly keeping her nails in check. What a superstar! ⭐ For her latest spa day, Sully enjoyed a luxurious lavender and bergamot shampoo, followed by the soothing scent of lavender and jasmine 💜 It left the salon smelling divine! Check Out This Little Delight – Robin the Cockapoo! 🤩🥰 Robin is the sweetest little pudding 🐾💜 Although she’s a bit apprehensive about her grooms, I’m convinced she secretly loves her pampering sessions – especially her bath and facial! She’s just missing her mumma a little 🥰 Her mum does such a fabulous job looking after her stunning coat – not a single knot in sight! It’s always such a joy to groom her. This time, Robin enjoyed a festive Christmas Pudding shampoo and a soothing lavender & jasmine, along with the hohoho facial! 🎄🎅 She may have had a cheeky lick, but I wasn’t quick enough to catch it on camera 🤭🎄 I always say Robin brings out my inner photographer – who knew I had it in me? Every snap involves lots of dancing, treats, and silly faces to get her to look my way. Winnie the Cockapoo's Monthly Groom! 🛁✂️ Winnie popped in for her monthly pamper, and as usual, she raced through the salon doors with so much enthusiasm! 🐾💨 Honestly, I love how excited she is, it makes my day! 🥰 Of course, Winnie had her usual antics, planning her escape from the bath (she never manages it, though! 🤭) She’s always so eager to get onto the grooming table 🤣 One day soon, Winnie, you won’t even need a leg up! 😅 I call her my little parrot 🦜 because she LOVES to perch on my shoulder. But, we’ve been working on her staying put with all four paws on the table 🫣 training is coming along nicely, I promise! 😆 Winnie’s pampering session included a relaxing lavender and bergamot bath, blended with a festive touch of Christmas Pudding shampoo 🌸✨🎅, the perfect combo to keep her coat soft, bright, and smelling amazing! For her facial, she opted for the HoHoHo special 🎄 a double helping to get that fluffy face squeaky clean! This month, Winnie is sporting a fluffier look than usual, and we have to say...we LOVE it! 😍 That extra fluff is giving us all the cosy winter vibes! 🐶❄️ This little lady takes her grooming routine seriously and visits us every 4 weeks like clockwork. 🐾 Milou the Australian Labradoodle’s First Big Boy Bath! 🐾 You might recognise this little superstar, Milou, as he’s been popping into the salon regularly for his puppy induction package! 🐶💖 This ensures he’s gradually introduced to all the sights, smells, and sounds of grooming, building his confidence step by step. And guess what? Milou is absolutely smashing it! 🌟 Next visit? His first big boy haircut! 😍 For his bath, Milou enjoyed the warm, calming scents of black vanilla, jasmine, and lavender 🌸 – a little touch of spa luxury for this sweet boy! He even had a matching black vanilla facial – not once, but twice! 🛁✨ He was such a pro, taking the rinsing completely in his stride. We used guava and mango conditioner to nourish his coat, followed by a spritz of primrose conditioning spray to keep that fluffy coat in tip-top condition 🌺🍑 The blaster? Well, let’s just say Milou wasn’t 100% convinced, but honestly, I was so impressed (blown away you might say 😆🫣) by how well he handled it! 💨👏 After that, we moved to the table for snuggles (his favourite part!) and some gentle warm air for a fluff dry ✨ Once dry, he had a little tidy-up with a facial trim, sanitary area clip, paw pads, and nail trim. What a star! ⭐ For his final flourish, Milou chose black vanilla pawfume – my personal favourite at the moment! 🖤 He always comes in with his tail wagging and full of energy, but after all the new experiences today, he couldn’t resist a little nap 😴... for a grand total of 120 seconds! 😅🤣 Milou, you’re an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to see you again soon for your big boy haircut! 💕 Did you know Australian Labradoodles are a mix of Poodle, Labrador, and a splash of Spaniel?
