As we wind down for Christmas, I wanted to pause and say thank you.

Whether you’ve booked in with me this year, supported my business, or simply followed along, I’m so grateful.

This time last year, I couldn’t have imagined that my business would continue growing like it has. I'm so grateful to my clients that use me over and over again and to the new clients that I have met this year, it's been a pleasure getting to know your pets.

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This is something that I've been doing for the last few years, it feels great giving to animals that are in need. I give my clients a small treat, then donate some money to charity.

The pets that I look after want for nothing, so I instead I donate to local charities.

Trying to think of a last minute gift for your pet? Here are a few ideas 👇

- Light up collar for dogs - I've seen a few of these when driving around in the evenings at the moment and they really make a difference, I can see that a dog is being walked from quite a distance. A great saftey precaution for the dark evenings.

- Natural treats - Suitable for both cats and dogs. Softer jerky and freeze dried treats are best for cats, rather than hard chews. Natural treats are made from whole, recognizable ingredients and are free from the artificial additives, preservatives, and fillers found in many processed treats.

- Cat scratching posts or boards - They are great for keeping cats nails short and for de-stressing and preventing unwanted behaviour. Cats will have different preferences for posts or boards, so it's best to try different ones.

- Beds - Your cat or dog may enjoy a new bed. The fluffy donut shaped beds are popular with both cats and dogs, they often enjoy curling up and going to sleep in them.

- Aquasorb Towels - These are really lightweight towels, that are really absorbent. I've been testing them out on my walks. Once you have used it to dry off your dog, you just squeeze the towel out and put it back in the container damp. A really good space saving towel, perfect to keep in the car.

Another final option, which I have done myself, is to donate to an animal charity, to give to the dogs and cats that are in need this christmas.

Have you ever met a dog who instantly reminded you of your very first dog?

I recently started walking this lovely girl. When her owner first got in touch and mentioned that she's a beagle, I was really excited.

My first dog was a beagle called Jess and I have so many happy memories of her. They often have a bad rep but Jess was really well behaved, no wandering off when she caught the scent of something interesting.

It's been lots of fun getting to know this beagle and I love seeing the classic breed characteristics that remind me so much of my old dog (nose down constantly, tail up in the air and food obsessed).

What breed was your first dog? let me know in the comments!

You may be wondering, what is one of the hardest parts of being a dog walker?

It's not actually walking the dogs, it's trying to get all of the dogs to look in your direction when you're taking a picture 😂 Why is one of them always looking away from the camera?

Here are a few of the many attempts it takes, to get a picture where they're all looking at you

Watching this back, I realised how aggressively I kicked the bucket for no reason 😂 anyway... turn the horses out with me 🐴

There's never a boring day working with dogs!

Today I was walking one of my groups and as I crouched down to put a dog on the lead, this little monkey pulled the detachable fluff off my hood and was running around with it 😂 as you can see, he was very pleased with himself and it made me laugh 🥰

I recently introduced these lovely girls and they get on so well, I'd already walked them both separately and thought they would be a great match. It's great to see smaller breeds enjoying the secure field walks as well!

Message me if you'd like to get your dog booked in for a secure field walk

Sorry to mention the C word, but Christmas is fast approching.

My last day of dog walks will be Wednesday 24th December. If anyone would like to book a Christmas Eve walk, so that you have more time for Christmas prep, just drop me a message. My first day back walking will be Monday 5th January.

I will be doing cat visits up until Tuesday 30th December, then I'll then be off until Monday 5th January. Cat visits are getting booked up fast, so please message asap to avoid disappointment!

Message if you have any questions about walks or visits over christmas.
