We’re extremely proud to contribute to the Cheshire Community Fund. Whilst our involvement with the fund focuses on local Crewe-based charities, there are other community funds across the UK and abroad.

The Community Fund supports charities in the Cheshire area that need help to continue their fantastic work. The CCF’s process for allocating contributions is impartial and applying charities are chosen measured on who will make the greatest impact in the community.

During 2024, the Community Fund helped some incredible causes. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing more about them and the amazing work they do.

Its Throwback Thursday! 🔙

This time last year, we had a special visitor at our Crewe site – none other than Crewe Alexandra’s Zac Williams! ⚽

Zac took time out of his busy schedule to meet our team, chat about life as a professional footballer, and even get a behind-the-scenes look at what we do here at Boughey. It was a fantastic day, and we loved welcoming a local sporting talent to our site! 🙌

We’re proud to support our local football club and community, and we can’t wait to see what this season holds for Zac and the team! 💪

Keeping Our Community Safe! 🦺

We’re always looking for ways to support our local community – but for us, safety is everything and we understand why a hi-vis vests are so important. That’s why we were delighted to provide the 22nd Scouts troop in Stoke with personalised high-visibility vests, helping to keep them safe on their adventures!

Luke has transformed our space with stunning artwork, adding creativity with designs focusing on our colleagues, customers and communities. We’ve only shared a few snippets of the artwork below, but over the next few weeks, we’ll share more! Keep an eye out!

🚛 In 2024, together, we delivered an incredible impact:
🍽️ 369,800 meals provided to communities
🥫 155.5 tonnes of surplus food saved
💧 413.6 million litres of embedded water preserved
🌱 311 tonnes of CO₂ emissions prevented

Our MHE Operators often need to reverse in tight spaces, so staying alert, checking surroundings and following our MHE Boughey Basics is key to keeping everyone safe.

Going backwards might be the theme of the day, but at Boughey, we’re always moving safely forward!

ALL ABOUT BOUGHEY

Based in Wardle, near Nantwich, Boughey Distribution is part of the NWF Group and was established in 1964. The company employs 600 people and we work with many of the UK’s major food industry brands to provide ambient storage and distribution services, together with a range of specialist services including consolidation, e-commerce and contract packing.

From our purpose-built 48-acre site, we operate a fleet of 120 vehicles, 250 trailers and five rigid vehicles, and offer 900,000 square feet of warehousing space. We have recently increased our storage capacity from 100,000 to 137,000 pallet spaces with the opening of a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Crewe.

The company is the largest in the local area and is a highly regarded employer, synonymous with offering secure and stable employment - 90% of employees live within a ten-mile radius of the business.

We are always on the look-out for professional drivers and offer a variety of warehouse roles across a range of shifts, as well as a variety of office roles.
