Our sweet Sidney is a very nervous girl, she gets scared of loud noises and new things. An easy way to help a dog get used to novel objects and become more confident is creating a positive experience with things they are nervous of. There was a cardboard box in the paddock that she was very wary of so to tackle this we threw treats into the box to get her to interact with it while getting rewards as she’s doing it.

At first she got spooked every time it moved but after a couple minutes of throwing treats in she eventually stood in it to get the treats out. Having a nervous dog can be challenging but they’re not a lost cause and can be trained they just need a little patience and a gentle hand.

Please consider our nervous dogs when you’re looking to adopt, they are just as loving as the confident ones and just as deserving of a home ❤️

Little Max is still looking for his perfect forever home 🏠

Max is such a bundle of energy and he loves his favourite people 💙 He loves to go on walks and gets so excited for cuddles, he’s a little wriggle bottom!

Max is scared of people he doesn’t know so will need multiple meets with his adopter to allow him to get over his fear, he is also looking for a home with a sole occupant as he likes to give all his love to just one person.

Max could potentially share his home with another dog following multiple successful meets

We can’t believe this sweet girl is still with us 🥰

Daisy is 3 years old medium sized !! She loves being with people and getting all the attention she can get! She is loved by all our volunteers and usually people sn**ch up our scruffy dogs and she’s has so much interest but nothings come of it 😔 she has so much love to give and you would make such a lovely companion ♥️

Daisy is very dog selective so most likely needs a pet free home 🐶

Jordan really enjoys his walks now and is living up to whatever hound breed is in him as his nose is permanently to the floor. He still isn’t too keen on having his harness put on but he’ll get there ❤️

Kobi has won the kennel award for best cuddler ❤️ if you think big dogs can’t be lapdogs, think again, Kobi is a big boy but he was no problem sitting on your lap and having a big cuddle, he’s great for if you’re feeling down and just need a little love. If you’re looking for a therapy dog look no further.

Star has found himself back with us again 🥲 he is 8 years old and we are desperate to find him his forever home 😔

Yes he is reactive to men but he has proven himself with our volunteers with sensible introductions he can like men eventually with enough time and patience 🥰 he is such a sweet loving boy and he has so much love to give !! We know he can make the perfect companion to the right person!

Bear is 2 years old and been with us since he was just a puppy … he is such a cheeky boy and is always up to no good 😅 bear has a few issues we’re currently working with trainers to help with some of these but bear would ideally need an experienced home to manage his issues ♥️ he is such a lovely boy and silica a big fan with volunteers 🥰 we know there is someone out there for near somewhere !!!

She’s medium in size. Once she trusts you she loves to have belly rubs and thrives of attention, therefore she would benefit being an only dog in the home so all the attention is on her.
