What a weekend! Snip gained another final today and was awarded best Maine C**n and Best Long Hair cat so has not only secured her Grand Champion title but is well on her way to getting her double 🥳

Lily finalled in every single ring over the weekend and managed to achieve:

Best Maine C**n Kitten of the show🏆

Best Long Hair Kitten of the show 🏆

Second Best in Show Kitten 🏆

We’re so proud of our beautiful girls, Lily and Snip ❤️ not only for the amazing results but because they behaved impeccably! We’re all shattered now, especially the girls who have been out for the count since we got home 🐾

Thank you so much to the show team for putting on another fantastic event, we can’t wait to do it all again in September 🥰

Well it’s been a fantastic first day at the LCWW show in Doncaster 🙂 Lily has been in the top 2 Maine c**n kittens in every ring and has achieved 4 finals, one of which included her being awarded best long hair kitten 🥳😻 she’s been a real hit with everyone she’s met at the show and we couldn’t be more pleased with how well she’s handled her first ever show!

Snip had an amazing start to the day, gaining best Maine C**n adult and getting 3rd in an all breed final which means she is now a GRAND CHAMPION 🥳 we’re absolutely thrilled with what this girl has achieved in such a short time 🥰 Really looking forward to what tomorrow brings 🐾

Well it’s been a tough couple of weeks feeding and toileting babies and sadly, despite our efforts Kat’s kitten went over rainbow bridge 😢 we’re emotionally and physically drained but we need to focus on the positives and thankfully Orchid’s babies are going from strength to strength! They’ll be introduced this week when I get some pictures of them 🙂

In the midst of everything going on I haven’t introduced Fleur’s kittens 😻 Fleur, being the dream that she is has done a wonderful job looking after her babies which took the pressure of us while we we’re helping with the other kittens 🐾 So here are some snaps of Fleur’s beautiful kitties 😻😻

We’ve been a bit quiet lately but we’ve had a very tough time with Kat’s litter. Sadly she’s lost all but one baby… when we noticed they were losing weight we began supplementing them every couple hours, as they didn’t have the energy to feed themselves but even with all our efforts we couldn’t save them 😢 we’re waiting on some results from the pathologist to see if we can find out what happened so hopefully that’ll give us the answers we need! Kat then also developed mastitis so she’s been very poorly and feeling rather sore but now she’s starting to feel like herself again.

On top of all of that, Orchid isn’t a fan of cleaning her babies so we’ve been having to toilet all of hers on top of feeding all of Kat’s kittens!

We nearly lost the last baby from Kat and one of Orchids who also began to fade but thankfully they’re both gaining again and feeding off their mums, so some good news for now! We’re not out of the woods and we’re totally exhausted, physically and emotionally but at last some good news after a week of heart break 💔

Absolutely in love with this little girly 😻 so glad she stayed with us! She a ball of energy and is best friends with Snip, they play together for hours and hours every day and then fall asleep together 🥰

We have been rather quiet recently but there’s been lots going on in the Kigikat household, a new job, a family wedding in Cyprus and 2 new litters of gorgeous babies 😻😻 they’re one day old, both mums are doing a fantastic job and the kittens are all healthy and absolutely adorable 🥰🐾

I woke Nora up from a nap by bumping my head on her hammock… she wasn’t impressed 😹 this was the last of about 5 yawns!

Last but by no means least is the update of Mocha, now Khaleesi, in her new home 😻 her new mum tells me she never sits still and does everything at 100mph 😹 hopefully she does a better pose for her mum and dad when she’s out on the show circuit this summer 🥳

A gorgeous little update of Darwin and Adelaide, now Tigger and Tabby 🥰 they’ve discovered a love of plants and cat wheels since moving to their new home 🐾 we will definitely be investing in a cat wheel but we’ll give the plants a miss 😂 there isn’t a single green finger in our house!

Snip absolutely adores her hammock 🥰 it is most definitely hers, she only leaves it to come and sit with me or eat 😹

I have to shout out Merlins Hammocks again! They’re fantastic!! I’ve one for the girls and two for the boys and they’re a huge hit with all of the cats, highly recommend 😻🐾

I often get asked about cat trees suitable for Maine c**ns. We came across CosyPosts at a show last year, we bought a tree for Basil who destroys everything nice we give him, nearly a year later and the cosyposts tree we bought him still looks like new (once it’s had a bloody good hoover 😂). We’ve since bought another for our current kittens to replace our old nursery tree. I cannot fault the level of craftsmanship, and quality of both products we have! Kigikat Calamity Jane a.k.a. Snip attended her first ever show in Manchester with LCWW. She had the most incredible day and took it all in her stride 🥰
Out of 5 rings she won best Maine C**n in 3 and second best in the other 2, this meant she also got into all 5 finals achieving 3rd and 4th in the All Breed finals and 2nd, 7th and 9th in the Long Hair finals 🎉🍾
Snip is now a CHAMPION 🥳🥳 pending approval from LCWW
We are so proud of of our little superstar who was up against some really beautiful cats ⭐️

We attended the Merseyside Cat Club show with Jemima, she won her breed class as well as gaining best of breed 🥳 this means she was awarded her 3rd challenge certificate and pending GCCF approval will be awarded the title of CHAMPION 🎉🎉🍾🍾

We are so thrilled with our homebred superstar ⭐️⭐️ now she can have a break from showing as she most definitely has boys on the brain 😂🐾
