🏖🐾 Dog friendly beaches 🐾🏖

We know how much you and your pups love the beach, but with restrictions in place during the summer months it can be difficult finding somewhere to go.

While restrictions apply to specific areas of the beaches listed here (please check out the visual guides at the link provided below), dogs are allowed at sections of:

~ Tenby South Beach
~ Saundersfoot
~ Amroth
~ Newgale (30 mins from our shop by car 🚗)
~ Broadhaven (30 mins from our shop by car 🚗)
~ Dale
~ Lydstep
~ Poppit Sands

Dolly 🩷

We were thrilled to meet Dolly this morning. She's a dachshund/pomeranian, loves her ball, loves walking, loves meeting people (and other dogs!), and is absolutely gorgeous we think you'll agree! 🥰🐾

Dolly loved posing for some photos (a perfect model!) and she'll be the star of a little video promo that we're producing for the pet shop (coming soon!) ⭐️🎥

We enjoyed a walk in the park, a paddle in the stream, a walk around the town (with a stop-off at The Golden Sheaf Gallery, Narberth and some refreshments at Rock’n’Dough) before heading to the pet shop for some goodies (and plenty of fuss from the team!) 😍

Doggie model wanted! 🐾🎥

We're looking for a doggie model (and owner!). If you'd love your pup to feature in some of our pet shop marketing, please leave an image in the comments below and we'll be in touch with our chosen parent & pup!

Requirements:

⏰ Must be available mid-week, during opening hours
🎥 Filming requirements should take between 1 to 2 hours
📍 Location will be Narberth town and our pet shop
🌤 Filming will be weather-dependent
🐶 A pup with a calm demeanour is essential

We'll provide some further information once we've selected our model, and the chosen models will receive a goodie bag to say thank you for your time (and some lovely photo/video too!) ☺️.

A number of restrictions for dogs come in to effect on Pembrokeshire's beaches from May, but did you know that Tenby's south beach (as seen in the background of this photo) is largely dog friendly throughout? Restrictions apply to Traeth y Castell/Castle Beach.

It was wonderful to read that Narberth had made the Sunday Times 'Best Places to Live' list. And we couldn't agree more.

The Sunday Times judges said of Narberth: “High streets across the UK may be struggling, but not so in Narberth. This colourful market town continues its upwardly mobile, upmarket march, with an increasingly turbocharged selection of delis, restaurants and galleries. But Narberth is practical and pragmatic, too.

“There's a station, proximity to Pembrokeshire’s magnificent coast, good sports facilities and butchers, bakers and greengrocers on the high street.” (...and pet shop!) 😉🐾
