APHA: Due to the increase in cases across England & new findings in wild birds, an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory biosecurity measures will be introduced across England & Scotland from noon on Sat 25 Jan. The current regional (AIPZ) with mandatory housing measures will also be extended to include the unitary authorities of North Yorkshire & York & a new area covering Shropshire from 00:01 on Mon 27 Jan. This means all bird keepers must, from these dates, follow the housing rules & stringent biosecurity measures, in addition to following any Protection/Surveillance Zone restrictions in their area, to protect poultry & captive birds. We have an exciting announcement plot holders. We are awaiting a funding grant to create a coronation orchard , meaning we will have 50 fruit trees, stakes, ties, tree guards. available maximum 1 per plot not per plot holder so if you have 5 plots you can plant one on each of your plots for example.
Conditions if you want some of the trees, they must be planted before 31/03/2025 with a photo sent as evidence, you must sign a media concent form as pendle council & Littlerspasturefarm may use photos sent.
You must agree to maintain the trees and send a picture once a year until 2030 or the end of your tenancy of the fruit trees offerd by this grant.
Excess fruit must be donated locally or used yourself. Strictly not for profit and in line with current tenancy agreements.

Don't forget 20% of your poultry intake can be vegetables get the 8p vegetables from Asda & Aldi UK & Lidl GB whilst you can, we're storing and eating. But anything that's no good for cooking we're feeding you chickens to supplementing feed and making delicious eggs.

Please cook potatoes and peels before feeding to poultry.
And bear in mind APHA rules mean anything that enters your kitchen should not be fed to livestock unless your 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️🥸
