My little business known as Pendle Walk & Groom was established in 2015 which provided dog walking, cat sitting and grooming services to the people and dogs of Pendle. I also got married so it seemed like the perfect time for a change of business name! My ethos of comfort and welfare being paramount remains strong and your dogs will be pleased to know that grooming will continue to take p

GROOMING SERVICE

Every dog has unique needs in terms of health, temperament and style! Whether you have a puppy in need of an introduction to grooming or a, 'seasoned pro' kind of a dog, it's essential that we have an initial detailed fact finding discussion in order for me to provide the best possible service. First and foremost, he or she will be handled with compassion and care and grooming will take place in a quiet, homely environment on a one to one basis. Your dog will leave with a spring in their step feeling clean, much smarter and smelling scrumptious ! Much thought has been given to the comfort and safety of your dog with tools and equipment ranging from :

- Supportive, comforting harnesses
- The use of award winning “ For All DogKind “ Vegan Friendly and PETA Certified
shampoo
- Padded table mat
- Ear muffs which can be provided whilst your dog is being blow dried

The majority of dogs require a full groom each time they visit which includes :

- A health check covering skin, ears, nails, teeth etc.
- A thorough shampoo (and conditioner if required) to make sure they’re squeaky clean!
- Blow dry which, apart from drying, helps me check for parasites and any skin issues
- Brush and de-tangle
- Ear clean
- Nail trim
- Styled to finish

As previously mentioned, each dog is unique therefore I’ll be pleased to provide an estimate following a detailed discussion. PLEASE NOTE THAT MY FACILITIES ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED DOGS

💙 During puppy Dotty's 1st visit it became clear that she was extremely fearful of most things grooming related. Working with her owner along with frequent visits are going to help her get used to me touching her, the new surroundings and tools. Her 2nd visit today went well and with the help of food on a lick matt, Dotty began to learn to bravely tolerate the dryer, even on her face. Going forward it's small but positive, puppy steps for Dotty! 🤗 #doggroomer #pendle #minischnauzer

💙 I get to know each dog's likes and dislikes. 3 out of 4 of today's dogs aren't keen on having a dryer around their head. Ideally it's best to have a dry head so I can trim it properly so finding a way to enable them to tolerate it is key. Jasper shown in the video, will tolerate it if he has a snuggly hug and a bit of a scratchy massage 🤗

💙 Taka... Enjoying his blow dry while he watches his hair fly around the floor... An excellent distraction! (he's only a foot off the floor by the way and could safely jump off if he preferred 😊)
