🌟 Kicking Off Our First Week Back! 🌟

We’re thrilled to be back in action with our Changing Lives Through Horses programme! 🐴 Today, we saddled up and took for an empowering hack, setting the tone for a half term of growth, resilience, and connection. 🐎💫

Thursday was our Halloween games-it’s taken me that long to get over how fabulous all the costumes were!!

🌟 Tomorrow welcomes everyone back after half term! 🌟

We hope you had a refreshing half-term break and are ready to dive back into the Changing Lives Through Horses programme.
We’re excited to keep building on our Bronze and Silver objectives, strengthening our skills, and growing our confidence in riding. 🐴

This next half-term promises even more opportunities, with:

✨ A Public Health session to support our wellbeing
✨ A special visit from racing legend Franny Norton - definitely one to look forward to!
✨ A Personal Development Qualification Celebration with Alison Blackmore Bhs and Phillippa Founds Bhs
✨ New Personal Development qualifications to work towards
✨ Work towards British Horse Society Stage 1 Qualification for Six of our Young People

This month's show jumping is available to book via our app or our website!

🌟 This Month’s NEW Class is called Horse & Runner!! 🌟

You must enter this class with a friend and their pony or horse. The first rider rides the course, tags in their friend who runs the course themselves on foot. Each rider is timed and the times are added together.

The winning pair are the pair who jump the course the quickest! 💥 🐎

Over the last few weeks our Young People have had the wonderful benefit of meeting Sarah, our Youth Engagement Officer.

Last week was our last session with Sarah for this term and also the parent/carers workshop ✨

We recognise that not all of our Young People are in school and may have missed out on important messages so we brought the key information to them at Wirral Riding Centre!

Sarah sensitively discussed Knife Crime, Drugs and Alcohol and County Lines. Our Young People were engaged, joined in with discussions and asked questions 🌟

Little hack out for Pony Club group 6 this afternoon! Learnt how to thanks drivers correctly, how to ride safely on the roads and the noises sheep make-not sure that’s on the syllabus but hey 😂🤷‍♀️🦄🐴

At Wirral Riding Centre we believe that the Golden thread of the Changing Lives through Horses programme are the Six Life Skills - Relationships, Confidence, Responsibility, Teamwork, Perseverance and Communication ✨

What better way than to showcase how much progress our Young People are making with their Life Skills than in these photos!? Jumping is great but it can be tough when it doesn’t go to plan!

We encourage our Young People to celebrate their own progress, measured against their own goals and nobody else’s, we celebrate when things don’t always go to plan and we learn how to use mistakes or weaknesses to make us stronger next time!

Everyday on our CLtH programme is an adventure, because adventures are exciting, they can be bold or risky and on adventures you always learn something new! 💪🏼

A very educational evening for our BHS stage 1 group during their hour of theory work!

Tonight we learnt about different types of bridles, bits and nose bands. We learnt about their different names, purposes and the impact they have on our horse 🐴

This group is currently fully booked but keep a look out for spaces as and when they become available! Thursday evenings 6-7pm ride and 7-8pm theory 💚

Looking to take on a part/full time staff member that has coaching qualifications and experience. We offer the chance to train to gain extra BHS qualifications and a chance to work on a busy and successful riding school. We offer flexible hours but one weekend day is essential.
