Little Daisy was all worn out after her 1:1 life skills session today ❤️ We were looking at ways to manage her biting and help her gain confidence on walks. Well done Daisy!

Bruno, a nervous Labrador, once found walks overwhelming. People, dogs, and even leaves could make him freeze or retreat. His owner wanted to help but felt lost.

Through my behavior consultation service, we focused on building trust and understanding his signals. Gradually, Bruno began to relax and show curiosity about other dogs.

Now, walks are joyful again! It's incredibly rewarding to see anxious dogs regain confidence. 🐶💛

If your dog struggles with fear or anxiety, there’s hope. Read Bruno’s full journey for practical insights on helping your own dog build confidence:

It is always so rewarding to get lovely feedback from a previous client, especially when it involves helping an anxious rescue dog:

"Sarah was a great help with my new, nervous rescue dog. She really helped me understand my dog's behaviour and how best to support her. Both my dog and myself are now growing in confidence."

One of the best parts of my work is seeing the transformation that happens when a puppy and their person truly start to understand each other. 💛

In my Puppy Life Skills sessions, I focus on more than training — it’s about building confidence, communication, and calm in situations that once felt stressful. Watching those “we’ve got this” moments appear between dog and owner is incredibly special. 🐶✨

If you’d love to feel that same confidence with your pup, my Puppy Life Skills sessions are designed to help you get there — together.

This adorable pup is the reason I have the best job in the world!

Daisy was quite tired after her first Puppy Life-Skills session. 😊 Today, she and her owners tackled common challenges like toilet training and jumping up, learned recall basics, and mastered 'sit.' We also introduced Daisy to outdoor sights and sounds and discussed the importance of prepping her for fireworks ahead of bonfire night. A productive hour indeed! Well done Daisy 🐾

It's a mistake I see new puppy owners repeatedly make. They are often intent on getting their new pup to sit and stay, and while an obedient puppy is helpful, it is not the most important aspect when the pup is young.

In the early weeks , the focus should be on helping the pup adjust to being away from their littermates, and managing common behaviors such as chewing, mouthing, and jumping up.

But topping the list by far is socialisation. Having a puppy that is familiar and confident with a wide range of people, places, sights, sounds and situations, will lead to a well adjusted adult dog.

Don't miss out on the prime time for puppy socialisation in the first few weeks.

School dogs have a remarkable impact — they help children feel calm, boost confidence, and spread joy. They foster empathy and support emotional wellbeing, becoming beloved members of the school community. I now conduct assessments for insurance purposes and to ensure the dog's welfare is met in busy school environments.

It has been a pleasure to help the beautiful Laska settle into his new home. As a rescued Romanian street dog, he was seriously traumatised and everything was frightening for him. But with patient, calm and consistent behaviour support from his new owners, Laska is now more confident to explore his new environment. He especially loves his walks! Seeing his steady progress and his blossoming personality definitely makes my job the best in the world ❤️🐾💕

Trying to get a new selfie for my website is always a challenge with Lottie. She never wants to look at the camera! I know I should go and get some proper studio photos taken, but in the meantime a slightly perturbed looking spaniel will have to do!!
