As this cold weather continues, make sure your pets are safe and warm. Although many dogs love the snow, it’s not for everyone. Some dogs may prefer indoor games rather than a walk in the ice. Keep a look out for tell tale body language signs that your dog is not coping, like shivering and a tucked tail, and wipe those paws clean of salt and grit when you get home.

After hearing fireworks on Saturday night in New Mills, my friend’s dog had a stroke. Sadly, the little dog had to be put to sleep the following day.

This could have so easily been avoided. Please support the RSPCAs campaign to change firework law. 💔

Just back from a weekend in Kotor, Montenegro. A stunningly beautiful place made even more magical by the plentiful cats. Although they are strays, they are well cared for and generally healthy. Just need a bit more widespread neutering. One particular cheeky kitten very nearly came home with me! 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Penny has just been spayed so no walks for a few weeks. Instead we did lots of enrichment activities in the garden and this puzzle toy. Wishing you a speedy recovery little Penny ❤️‍🩹
