I'm back!
I've been away for a week, no communication with the outside world, & WiFi very hit & miss. But I've had the most amazing time dog sitting for 2 lovely greyhounds (the ones the owner has asked not to post on Social Media), who have been so well behaved that they made my 12 hour day much more bearable!
From an almost aggressive (one of them) dog, to one who has made some fantastic friends, the owner is over the moon 🌙 ❤️
Not only is she a much more relaxed dog, but Ashley was the first to take her under her wing. Yes, ASHLEY. The greyhounds adore her & are so pleased to see her.

They all love Ashley, because she's just got the most amazing personality. Funny, kind, smart & cheeky all at the same time. I couldn't be more proud of her if I tried ❤️

I've had a proud "Mummy" moment with this little lady. So proud, my heart could burst 🥹 As you may be aware, Ash has been attacked several times by off lead dogs running up to her on multiple occasions. The last attack left her unscathed, but I ended up in A&E with a severe bite wound to my hand.
Anyway, since then (about a year ago now) she has been incredibly reactive to new & strange dogs.
Except Spaniels. For some reason, she gets on great with spaniels, so always happy when a new one arrives 🤣
I have worked INCREDIBLY hard to get Ash back to how she was; kind, sweet, caring, motherly & most of all: accepting.
This weekend, I did the absolute unthinkable. I went against everything I stand for & put an awful lot of faith & trust into Ash.
I LET A STRANGE DOG INTO MY HOME WHO ASHLEY HAD NEVER MET...... 😳
I needed to do this to test Ash & see what needed tweaking or sorting.
It turns out, NOTHING.
Ashley was beautifully behaved, gently sniffing our guest, then making him feel very welcome. I cried.
But, today, we walked past a man & dog; we stopped to allow them to pass us, & guess what?! Hardly a reaction at all!! 👏👏👏
Don't get me wrong, we've still got loads of work to do, but this weekend has proven that no matter what, a behaviour can be changed. It's taken a year, but each dog is learning in its own time. Remember; TIME & PATIENCE ARE KEY.
Don't rush them, or you'll end up with worse behaviours coming out.
Celebrate every single victory, & put the setbacks to the back of your mind. It's an "off" day. We should never punish the bad, but always PRAISE the good.
My girl is Ashley.

What a sad state of affairs when people feel the need to rip a business apart..... 😞

Not only am I supporting my family on my ONLY source of income, but I'm having to deal with Bipolar, depression & anxiety.
So people think it's ok to belittle others, make up stories & tell downright LIES.
I have worked hard to get myself here; I'm not perfect, & I'm the first to admit I'm not a "people" person, but..... I would NEVER bad mouth a company, no matter how awful the person was. I would look beyond that & see the hard work they've put into building that company up.
You don't know their circumstances; they may be battling several demons in their life.

I WILL NOT TOLERATE RACIAL ABUSE. I may not be white, but I'm English.

I love & care for every single animal that is in my care. I didn't get a 5* rating by lying to the Council. My home is rigged with cameras; I am also going to find my bodycam & start wearing that so you can all see how happy your dogs are.

So please keep an open mind before taking the word of others.

Also bear in mind that IF your dog was abused in any way by me, they certainly wouldn't come back time & time again!

Please think before slandering a small business.

I support a husband with cancer & a 10 year daughter with high functioning anxiety.
