Second post in two days!
I am planning some owner workshops in the basic skill and theory behind equine Shiatsu so owners can help heal their own horses. We will look at common ailments and how Shiatsu can help, as well as general wellbeing and maintenance, and plenty of hands on learning!
If anyone is interested could you pm me pls: just trying to gauge level of interest. Those I already know about don’t need to pm me. It will probably last 2-3 hours at your own yards with your own horses, starting end April/May.

So a bit of a first today: as some of you know lying down and snoozing after a treatment is quite a common equine reaction. Today, my little client Mist thought he would lie down 5 minutes into the session. So he did - and stayed there the whole hour, stretching his head and neck and all his four legs while flat out in the floor. Just wonderful. This therapy never ever fails to amaze me. He did get up after a final mega roll and quite a lot of coughing and snorting by the way. How happy am I to be able to help him help himself. Brilliant.

Cindy presented with some, shall we say, challenging behaviour. On examination she had excess energy in three out of four fire channels! Her energetic cycle was properly out of balance. Here she is releasing in response to some of that shifting. These pics are especially good because they capture the
‘ dialogue’ between horse and therapist perfectly which makes this therapy so rewarding for both. Thankyou Cindy and Lorraine.

So poor little Dolly had a spell of colic this morning .....Stomach yu point, St 25 and Ki 27 later and her symptoms abated just as the vet arrived. Relieved to say she’s on the mend now.

Great couple of days Shiatsu with the very handsome Munchie and very cheeky ( indeed) Mist. Great also to see Ginny on the mend ( thankyou Mary ) Some fantastic results, especially now combining zoopharma with Shiatsu!! Never ever fails to amaze me. Looking forward to more of the same next week.

Some great sessions this week, with Oscar, Bob, King and Guinness, and these two handsome chaps, Joker and Munchie - getting some fabulous results combining some zoopharma extracts too. Off to Wales next week to see some trekking ponies and of course the marvellous Jester! Thanks for the pics Mary!

Great day of learning on the zoopharma gateway 2 course - looking forward to putting it all into practice ! If only us humans were halfway as clever as our equine friends ... ( and canine)

So this super boy is a Quarter horse with a ridden Western background. He also has navicular but already responding well after his first session. An equine 'thankyou' never fails to touch my heart, even when I'm trying to write up my notes! Thankyou Lucy for the pics.

Great session with the very handsome Dexter who has a long term cribbing habit ( Aerophagia) - this is the look that indicates engagement with the therapy!
