Puppy counts are Estimated at time of scanning, bi***es can absorb puppies up to 45 days gestation.
Puppy absorption happens when a pregnant female dog has one or several foetuses disintegrate in her uterus following an infection or another type of pregnancy problem. Foetal resorption in dogs can only happen in the weeks of the pregnancy when the tissues are soft and bones are not properly formed.

Warning to all dog owners. While I was out walking this morning a Community Protection Officer in a Newark and Sherwood van was pulling up to warn dog owners to take extra care. He said that there have been a huge number of cases of dog thefts in the area, some from houses and gardens and some of which are by people using a van marked with RSPCA decals saying they suspect your dog to be stolen and that they need to scan it for a microchip. He added that the only person actually working in this area is a female called Rachel, so if anyone else approaches you about your dog ignore them and keep walking. He advised that people walk in pairs and stick to less isolated areas, and asked that we pass the message on to other dog owners. He also said that dog fighting has ‘gone through the roof’ and dogs are being stolen for bait as well as for sale. Please take care people. ☹️

** Warning to all Breeders ** It has come to light recently that dog thieves are parking up near Vets and watching out for people taking litters of puppies to the vets for their 1st check up and vaccines etc. . They are then following them home, waiting up and stealing them. . Many breeders now don’t advertise their litters for security reasons so dog thieves are resorting to this new tactic. Please be aware of any vehicles following you back from the vets. . . .
