Pringle’s birthday cake 🎂
Thanks for the cake! 🎂 now the party can begin!
Guess the type of bird! Answer revealed tomorrow!
⚠️Itch alert⚠️
⚠️ Warning serious itch alert ⚠️
This was all taken out of some kittens ears. You can see the dark colour of the wax and dirt and then the mites are the white dots moving around.
If you see your pet scratching a lot at its ears, you might want to consider these little pests!

Disaster struck this morning as for the second time this week (and third time in a month) the Dixon and Young team were left parched and without tea.
If this person is struggling to buy milk please come and see us and we’ll be glad to give you a pint. There’s really no need to pinch ours.
Thanks.
Please be extra careful if you’re coming to visit us today ☔️
Hope you’re all keeping cool in the hot weather 😎
Here’s Mochi showing us how it’s done in the plunge pool!
Hot hot hot!
We’ve got the paddling pool outside and the freezer stocked up with ice creams - as long as these three leave some for the rest!
Do you remember the first time you saw snow? ⛄️
Thanks once again to the Parkgate Academy for the red and purple poppies which have been displayed in our windows over the last few weeks, to remember the humans and animals who have served our country ♥️💜
Whose toy??
🤣

Hooray England!!! 🏴
The bees have been loving the sunflowers this week! It’s been brilliant to be welcomed by all the happy sunflowers as we arrive at the practice. Thank you to the eco warriors for planting them for us!

It’s been wonderful to see the bees enjoying our garden this week.
Proud to be a bee friendly practice 🐝
Twix cools off!
Last week we saw our first “heat stroke” patient of the summer. The dog had overheated whilst out walking and came to us collapsed and struggling to breathe. His temperature had hit the early 40’s and his tongue was blue.
Thankfully with oxygen therapy and active cooling the dog recovered brilliantly and was able to return home the same day.
Please remember to consider your pets in the heat. Exercise dogs at the coolest parts of the day and make sure small furries have shade to shelter in. Older animals, brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds or those who are overweight are particularly vulnerable to heat stroke.
They work so hard, they deserved a treat 🤣
A warning
In the last four days we’ve had two dogs present to us with neurological signs following ingestion of marijuana on a walk, one of which was our very own Pringle!
Please keep an eye on what your dogs are sniffing at or nibbling when out walking. After Pringle became unwell, we retraced our steps to find what she’d eaten. Photo in the comments. This video was taken only half an hour after her walk.
When Scruffy presented to us yesterday looking the same we felt we should warn you all as there’s clearly a lot of it being left about - please please be careful.
Edit
Location on this occasion was a bridle way leaving Kirton to Tuxford next to Westwood solar panel farm
