We also offer Pop In Service to feed, exercise even a relief break for your pet whether they are a puppy and cant yet go on a walk or you have an elderly pet who cant go very far just having some company, fuss and attention and being let in the garden is a relief, this services is particularly useful if you are planning a day out and you need to give your VIP some companionship to break the day up for them even to feed them and put the lights on, even the tv or radio etc until you return. With temperatures set to hit a sweltering 37C to 41C today this can be a dangerous time for our beloved floofs.

And for some breeds, the risk is even higher as they can suffer with heatstroke

Heatstroke happens when a dog's body can’t cope with an internal rise in temperature.

As their body temperature rises it damages their tissues and organs, making them unwell and in severe cases death.

Do you know the signs of heatstroke ?

Heatstroke can progress quickly. Here are things to look out for which may include:

👉 Stiffness or an unwillingness to move

👉 Confusion
👉 Being sick, which could be bloody
👉 Upset stomach, which could be bloody
👉 Not walking in a straight line
👉 Collapse
👉 Fitting

If an owner suspects their dog has heatstroke you should contact your vet immediately while also attempting to cool your floof down.

How to cool your floof down?

Here are some cooling methods ...... Cooling methods include stopping the dog from exercising, move them out of the heat and into the shade, laying them on a cold floor, offering them small amounts of water to drink, carefully pouring water over their body and fanning them with cool air.

LOST DOG from Peebles Road, near Hawton Road, escaped home around 7.50am this morning.

Would really appreciate reports of any sightings.

He's a male lurcher, white with tan patches and a teal collar.

He's a very nervous rescue so will run away, please call Drone to Home on 0330 124 2004 if you see him and please DO NOT APPROACH, shout or try to grab him.

Today is Tuesday Tasty Treats ...... in this weather its nice to treat your furry friend to some tasty treats ......

Now if you dogs love treats then why not try this especially at the moment whilst your having your favourite ice cream or ice lolly ...... don't forget your furry friend

And this simple recipe is only 2 ingredients
Watermelon and Coconut Milk 🍉🥥

👉 Use a quarter if the watermelon (if they do seedless great or remove the seeds)
👉 Place scooped watermelon into a blender.
👉 Add one can of Coconut, and blend (you can more watermelon especially if you want that darker pink colour)
👉 Then pour into icecube tray or doggy shaped ones likes Silicone paws, bones (Amazon finds)
👉 Once frozen they are ready to go

A great little treat for your furry friend but I'm sure you would even like to try one on your cocktail 🍹

👉 Ideally best times to walk your dog would be first thing in the morning before it gets to hot and early evening when the temperature is cooling down ..... however its is not necessary to walk your dog every day, dogs don't die form not having a walk ......

👉 As hard it is try and encourage them to stay in shaded areas and away from direct sunlight.

👉 Put down damp towels for them to lie on or cooling mats.

👉 If they have a favourite toy that can be made wet and placed on freezer again this can help especially in puppies that are teething too

👉 If you have a sprinkler hose then you can put that on I the garden for them to get there fur wet .... they love water

👉 A paddling pool filled with water Ideally one with solid sides so they don't punch it with their teeth or claws.

👉 Filling a hot water bottle with cold water can also be useful to put on there bed

👉 A large stone placed on their water bowl this will help keep the water chilled and wire in the shade

Make sure they have access to plenty of water during the hot weather and NEVER leave a dog in the car during the hot weather NO matter how short you think you are going to be 💛

Morning everyone,

As we head into the warmer weather, this is just a polite reminder regarding payment with regards to Cancellation of Walks and Weekly & Adhoc and Pet visits payments, all of which are discussed in the initial meet and greet and in my contract.

- 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦
If you do not require your walk for any reason then a clear 24hrs (so if you were due a walk on Wednesday you need to Cancel Monday) is required, otherwise you need to make full payment, if you are cancelling - last minute cancellations prevent me from filling the space which means I lose money from said walk and also I cant replace with adhoc walk so I lose out twice.

Cancellation made on the day or the day before said walk still requires full payment.

- 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗦
I offer 3 ways to pay ..... (Begining of week eg payments by Sunday 6pm for the coming week, At the end of each walk each day or by Friday BY 5pm)

If your dog has been walked then payment is required either at the end of the day of said walk or by Friday 5pm failure to make payment by 5pm will result in a late payment charge of £2 being added per day - which is added from Friday 5pm

- 𝗔𝗗𝗛𝗢𝗖 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗦
If any adhoc walks are requested during the week, then I will try and accommodate where possible. Payment for Adhoc walks is required in advance of the walk taking place

- 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 (𝗣𝗘𝗧 𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗦 / 𝗣𝗢𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗦)
50% non refundable deposit is required to secure booking, if 50% non refundable deposit is not made by agreed date (usually within 24hrs of conversation where both parties have agreed on dates) then those dates are NOT yours and will become available to anyone else, so do NOT assume you have booked them if you haven't paid the deposit
The remaining deposit will need to be paid 12 weeks prior to you taking your holiday or If your holiday is 12 weeks or less, then full payment is required on the day of booking.

Just like many, if I am NOT working at weekends, I like to spend my time with my family or doing my crafting, I don't want to spend my time chasing payments, I do know work commitments sometimes prevent payments / emergencies being made on time, but If i receive a message from you / family member before Friday 5pm then we can discuss privately as each customers needs / requirements are different.

All of the above is to help my business and myself, being self employed I have currently reframed from increasing my prices with the ongoing Cost of Living (fuel, car maintenance, pet insurance, first aid etc) and I believe I am still competitive and value for money.

So as of Monday 10th June 2024, It is now compulsory for all owned cats in England to be microchipped, this is not just for cats that go outside BUT indoor cats also, Indoor cats can sneak out so the microchipping makes it more likely that lost or stray pet cats are reunited with their owners and returned home safely.

So whether you cat is and Outdoor cat or an Indoor cat this applies to all cats.

It is also the responsibility owners / keepers must ensure their cat are microchipped before they reach 20 weeks of age and their contact details should be stored and kept up to date in an approved pet microchipping database. The vets usually record all the details for you so you don't have to worry.

Today we showed him his collar and harness, something he had never worn being a street dog, he was rescued form the kill shelter and straight to his new home

So everything is brand new

He allowed me to put his collar and harness on which he wore for 5 mins each visit we increase it until he is 100% comfortable and confident then hopefully he will enjoy walks

Now I don't know about you but I love this Easter Treat, toasted Hot Cross Bun with melted better, oh my I could do with one right now, however these Easter treats can be toxic to both 𝘿𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙨.

Most hot cross buns contain a mixture of 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 which are 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 to dogs potentially also 𝗧𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰 to cats, unfortunately the exact toxin is unknown.

𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 - Vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain which are commonly seen.

Ensure to keep these products out of reach from your pet, especially if they are left alone in the house 🐈🐕

If your pet experiences any of the symptoms always seek vets attention ASAP.

If you cancel your walk a clear 24hrs is required, cancelling on the day or less than 24hrs requires you to still pay for your walk.

Holiday / Pet Sits

50% non refundable deposit required within 24hrs of booking dates followed by balance on the date messaged

Or full payment can be made at booking once dates are confirmed by me if available

If deposit not received then those dates after 24hrs are available for someone else to book.
