Sorry for the lack of posting but we are still here! Working hard behind the scenes!
Navigating the summer holidays whilst running a small family business can be stressful at times.
Caroline has been running things day to day, keeping all our liveries happy.
We have managed to squeeze in a few rides here and there though!

Another year at Great Farm Stables!
Wow.
Where had the time gone. 2021, we started this business, without a single horse. Now we are proud to say that we have a busy, bustling yard full of happy ponies.

Despite our social media being a bit on the quiet side, we have been very busy behind the scenes!
There’s been clipping, some lazy days and a little bit of work mixed in here and there.

We are all hoping and praying for the sun to shine again! Fingers crossed it won’t be long 🤞

Our very own site manager has it all under control!

Today is the day the nets come down!

We would advise that any of our neighbours avoid hacking/driving past the yard. There is currently road works happening directly outside the front gate, and a lot of machinery being moved around throughout the day.

All livery horses are safely turned out for the morning enjoying the sunshine whilst it lasts ☀️

A long process, finally coming to an end.

Our horses have been incredible throughout the process of replacing the roof.
Alice was more than happy to watch the workmen after her hack.

Life at Great Farm Stables has been interesting to say the least over the last few weeks.

Since having the trees removed in September, West Woodhay Estates have been having both the stable barn and indoor school barn roof replaced.

Although this has caused some disruption to our owners, our horses have adapted well. It’s been a great desensitising experience for them all!

We are very excited to have both barns completed in the coming weeks and get back to normal.

Hi all,
A little update for us.

The leylandii trees that run alongside our barns are being removed this week!
Photos below of them being removed yesterday.

There will continue to be work done throughout the week to remove all of the wood. Therefore we are unable to hire out our indoor and outdoor arena this week.

We would also advise all of our local horse owners to avoid this part of the village if possible when hacking.

All our livery horses have been very chilled in the fields enjoying watching all the work going on from a far!

Another fantastic result for this team at the Summer Regional Championships at the weekend.
Jill and her owner came home with a 3rd place and a ticket to the National Dressage Championships in September!

Caroline and Woody were very lucky to be able to compete at this years Summer Regional Championships at Parwood Equestrian Centre.
A fantastic achievement for the team. He is now enjoying a well earned rest!

Another fantastic weekend for this team!
Cara, James and Romeo spent Sunday at the South East Arabian National C Show.

Coming 2nd in the in-hand veteran gelding and reserve veteran champion, as well as qualifying for the British Championships, winning the ridden veterans and then ridden veteran champion! A fantastic weekend all round.
We love sharing our liveries successes. Romeo you looked fantastic 🐴 Well done team Romeo 🏆
