Following a review of a challenging 2022-23 calving season for one of our clients we looked into what was going wrong. After some work on their dry cow management with the team and our in-house nutritionist, Rose, we think the results speak for themselves 😊 still more work to do but 58% decrease in c- sections and £4700 worth of savings is an improvement 😃🐮

🐄🐄BLUETONGUE has been identified in North Wales! 🐄🐄
Bluetongue is a notifiable disease caused by infection with bluetongue virus. Bluetongue virus is mainly spread by biting midges.

Bluetongue virus affects:
~sheep
~cattle
~other ruminants such as deer and goats
~camelids such as llamas and alpacas

🐄🐄 We may hate this warm, wet weather but lungworms love it!
This is the season for lungworms and here are some signs to look out for in your herd:

• Widespread coughing in grazing cattle
• Loss of condition
• Increase in respiratory rate
• Difficulty breathing
• Reduced milk yield in adult cows
