If today’s temperatures get too hot I’ll be cutting hour walks short, just doing let outs & shady toilet breaks where I can. Got to keep dogs safe in this heat ☀️🥵not safe to be walking pavements today. 🦮🐕🦺☀️

I used to walk Holly & her brother 2 Dogue de Bordeaux many years ago when I first started up! Then Bella moved in & sadly Hector passed away.
I’ll be fitting these 2 back in on my walks and they’re both very happy about that! 🥰

Dog of the week number 1️⃣0️⃣……..BASHA! 🐾
I’ve not been walking Basha for very long at all but my goodness it feels like I’ve known her lovely owner Denise all my life! Our paths were definitely meant to cross as she is my kind of lady & truly lovely.
I’m definitely known as the “Shepherd lady of Silverdale”!!!! People darent approach me when they see me with Basha as they think she is Maverick!
Out of all of the dogs I walk Basha wins the award paws down for being the loudest! I really do need ear defenders when I approach the front door as she starts literally screaming! It’s ear piercing!
She is such a beautiful girl, so alert, always watching me & weighing situations up. She could have been a police dog and I think she missed her vocation as she would have been brilliant.
Basha lives with 2 other shepherds, Beau & Teddy so sometimes I have to check I’ve put the lead on the right one! Although they aren’t noisy like her!!
Just look at her face! She’s adorable and I always get stopped on our walks, she’s like a fluffy wolf! I can’t wait to continue to work on training Bash not to pull initially on the lead and one day I’ll get her to be silent!! I do love a challenge!!!
Pet names :- Bish Bash Bosha! Bash, and BASHA at the top of my voice when she won’t be quiet!!!!!!!

💚 Basha looked beautiful today 😍
🧡 Roxy decided to be a high street florist doormat!
💜 We saw Max at the groomers ✂️🫧🛁
🩶 Dottie met the very large Walter with Emma 🫣😳
Plenty of other lovely moments throughout my day too but unfortunately I didn’t capture them all on my phone! 👌🏻🫶🏻 best job in the 🌎 x

Dog of the week number 9️⃣……….DANNY! 🐾
The lovely little Danny is one of the first dogs I started walking nearly 6 years ago! I went to meet him & his sister Poppy at their previous home & could tell straight away what a quirky little character he is!
Sadly Poppy recently passed away & so now it’s just me & Danny enjoying a potter & sniff around the beautiful Brampton…& sometimes if his little friend Dottie is in the cafe with her mum then she shares some time with him too (which he loves as when we take Dottie back he knows he gets some sausage & a treat!)
Dan does the best impression of a dying fly that I have ever seen!! Especially when it’s raining, cold, snowing or he’s too comfy in his bed!! If it’s sunny or dry I can guarantee he’ll be standing at the gate waiting to rush to the front door & get out!! He’s definitely a fair weather walker!!
Dan loves a good picnic and has been known to steal food or try his best to!! We have to give the picnic blankets a wide berth in summer!!
He’s such a good boy and lets me put his coat & harness on without any fuss and waits for me to dry him after our soggy walks! He looks so comfy in his bed, especially when I plump it all up for him then he climbs in and snuggles down!
He’s coped so well since losing Pops, he loves our routine and always makes me smile how he “walks the plank” along a raised border outside his house!
Dan is so chilled out and a pleasure to walk. He certainly is one on his own! People always ask me what breed he is! Danny looks like a different dog after a cut but I love his little quirky curls, especially when he gets wet!!
He’s such a sweetheart with the nicest nature & we love our walks so much.
Pet names :- Daniel, Dan Dan but usually Danny! Although he’ll answer to anything if you’ve got food!!

Dog of the week number 8️⃣ - BLOSSOM 🧡
Well my lovely sweet natured excitable beautiful Blossom! The girl who goes crazy when she sees me appear at the back door and can’t contain her excitement so starts to whine and cry and literally talk to me! She adores her walks and we’ve shared plenty.
I started walking Blossom when I used to pick Nala up and she was at her mums house. She was such a good girl from day one, never any trouble & such an easy dog to walk.
Sadly her stunning sister Nala passed away and so now it’s just Blossom and me on our walks and after initially looking very sad she now seems totally fine and enjoys sharing some of her walks with her new neighbour Frankie (who I already walked before they moved house!) she loves trying to pinch his soft toys and treats and is quite taken with him (she can be a bit selective!) so it’s lovely to see her walk with a companion once more and share sniffs and wee spots!
We’re in a perfect routine, she knows the ropes, waits for her treats after the walk and is such a big softy, totally melts me the way she looks right into your soul!
I walk a lot of labs & usually they are little tinkers to put it mildly and VERY VERY obsessed with food of any sort!! But Blossom isn’t like the other labs…she’s such a good girl all of the time!
Just look at that face and the pinkist of noses! 🩷
Pet names :- Blossie, Bloss and “beautiful girl” because she just is 😍

Dog of the week number 7️⃣………Dottie! ❤️🐾
Well Dottie the little Jack Russell Terrier is one of the smallest dogs I walk but don’t let that fool you! For what she lacks in size she most definitely makes up for in character and personality! She certainly has “little dog syndrome” and I’m sure she thinks she’s a Rottweiler really!! The postman used to be scared of her as when I first started walking her she would go crazy if she saw a red van or any post people! She’s much better now and is happy with an easier life!
Her most favourite person in the world (after her mum!) is Cheryl….(see pics!) she can spot her from miles away and loves being picked up and cuddled! She also loves her walks at the Brampton with her friend Danny and even lets him share her sausages and treats!
Dottie has an array of coats and Christmas jumpers that she wears until she decides she’s had enough then can wriggle her way out of them like a little Houdini!
She’s coped so well after losing her sister Ruby not long ago and is such a good girl every day. She’s got a great little life snoozing in the sunshine and enjoying her walks whatever the weather! She’s so sprightly still and people think she’s a pup!
Pet name :- Little Dot, Dots but mainly just Dottie! 🩷

Dog of the week number 6️⃣…….Roxy! 🐾
Well where do I start with big Roxy Rottweiler!!
Probably the fastest growing puppy I’ve ever known, literally shot up infront of my eyes! One week I could pick her up and the next I could almost ride her!!
The gentlest most sweetest girl who really is just like a great big soft bear. She definitely doesn’t realise she’s the size that she is! Totally food mad! (Ask treat man!!) who adores cuddles and fusses and loves the routine that we have which often includes a weekly visit to her favourite florist Helens Flower House where Sarah & Helen have a stash of goodies behind the desk and Rox knows exactly where they are!!!!
Roxy has the best life and is spoilt rotten even having her own favourite shows on the telly & a better mattress and pillow than me!!
Such a gorgeous girl with the biggest heart and who I love very much she really is a pleasure to walk every day 🩷💞🐾

5️⃣th dog of the week is…..MAVERICK! 🐾
When I first started walking this stunner he had the darkest black nose, the biggest ears & was a total nightmare!!….but a smaller easier size to manage nightmare! 🫣😂Maverick was & still is reactive to people, but also dogs, cats, birds, bikes…you name it! Mav hated everything pretty much! I’m lucky enough to be in his very small circle of a few trusted people that he lets into his home & who he gets super excited to see.
Thanks to the pure love, determination, hard bloody work (that’s still ongoing every single day) & consistency from Fiona & Rich, Mav is a million times better in most situations. He’s taught me more than any other dog ever has..I feel like I know him so well & he behaves impeccably on our walks. He’s much less of a nightmare nowadays & is one of my easiest dogs that I walk!
I have never met a more driven, focused dedicated owner than Fiona. Mav has had lots of training input with intense residential training & everything that’s been asked of her she’s gone above & beyond to achieve with him. He’s still work in progress & will never ever allow a stranger to stroke him or be near another dog but he manages his behaviour a whole lot better these days & lives his best life every single day!
He’s a big daft do**us that loves a ball & still goes crazy with excitement each time I arrive as though he hasn’t seen me in months!!
I only wish he would realise that not all humans are bad & it upsets me to think of the awful start he had in life with so many different homes. But at least he’s landed on his paws now & couldn’t wish for a better family to love him.
Pet name :- (hardly professional but it’s the truth!) “k**b head” 🫣😂🤣 for the odd times that he lets himself down! But mainly “Mav” or “Mavvers” & for when he’s thinking about being a k**b head “MAVERICK”!!!!

Dannys face sums up my day today 🙄☔️⛈️💦☀️⛅️sun burning your eyes out one minute then a hailstorm like falling golf balls, torrential rain and thunder and I was in my shorts! 🫣🥶

The dogs aren’t used to this yellow ball of sun in the sky!! No dog coats and wet towels! It’s absolutely tropical! I’ve even got my shorts on & legs out! ☀️🩳😎 makes such a difference! Had to go home on Tuesday to get changed half way through the day I was so wet! 💦 this is bliss! 😌

4️⃣th dog of the week is…..🤎Frankie🤎🐾
Or Lord Franklin, or Frank! Frankie is one of the first dogs I stared walking right back at the very start of it all! It was walking him that also got me some recommendation’s by his lovely owner Holly and so I made more lifelong friends & dogs that I also still walk today! In the early days little Frankie was a tinker…I often used to arrive to exploded pillows that he knew nothing about (see pic 1!! 🫣🤣😂) I have never seen so many feathers & his reaction to pretend nothing happened was hilarious! Or chewed skirting boards & paint & wood evidence around his mouth! I’ve walked Frankie through new baby Alba’s arrival & a house move! He’s made friends with Blossom who he sometimes shares his walk with now he lives so close. He has a great routine knowing to sit on the “treat mat” 😂 He is such a character & looks totally different after a cut. Frankie has the wildest hair with a tuft of fringe that blows in the wind!! But these days is happy for a treat & a chill in his chair after our walk…the cushions are safe for now! Such a handsome boy 😍🐾 pet name :- Tufty! or Frank but he answers to anything if I’ve got a treat! 🤎

Aah just listen at her pleading cries!!! Bella wants to go to her favourite place “the Dingle” every single walk!! She usually acts all stubborn & tries her best to drag me over the road!! I do take her to the Dingle but just not every time!! 🐾🥰
Beautiful loose lead walking, checking in with me & not pulling. She’s an absolute delight to walk. Plenty of free sniffing time too! 🩷👌🏻

Ignore the terrible doggy voice! 🫣 But just look at how Dottie listens to me and how good she is at being left alone since her sister Ruby passed away 😢💔she’s been getting anxious, stressed, barking & scratching the door and won’t leave her owner alone or settle so we’ve been doing little techniques to help with all of these behaviours, it’s only been 2 days but we’ve made massive progress! She stayed in her bed and was calm and quiet until her owner came in not long after I left her! 🥰👌🏻not just a dog walker! 😌

Today I’m like an advocate for loose lead walking! I see so many people everyday being literally dragged around by their dogs on harnesses or collars. It doesn’t have to be like that, a walk should be pleasurable for you as well as the dog! Also as much as I love taking Floss up the fields with her ball slinger & it’s great she can have a good run think it’s just as important to road walk too. Look how good she is 🩷👌🏻🐾🦮

When Max the rescue dog gets close to another dog and is comfortable & clearly happy! 😳🥰🐾 what a great feeling!!! 🙌🏼👌🏻 Max has always been severely dog aggressive & had redirectional aggression. Walking him is difficult as I’m constantly on high alert for other dogs! Then have to change direction or cross the road…even stand in the central reservation when they come on both sides at once! He’s been muzzled in the past but with a lot of training & encouragement this is what happened today!!!! I still can’t believe it!!! Never ever thought it possible! 🩵 Happy Friday!
