I love teaching my dog tricks; it’s fun and strengthens the bond I have with her. 🐾❤️

I also enjoy teaching these to my clients, especially with adolescent dogs. Here are my top 5 reasons why you should be adding tricks to your training: 🐶✨

I'm proud to be accredited by The Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT) and a registered Animal Training Instructor with The Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC). This means I've had my skills & knowledge assessed and I have to complete a minimum of 15 hours of training every year to make sure my knowledge stays up to date.

Socialising your pup is an essential part of their development and helps them become confident and well-adjusted dogs. It's all about introducing them to different people, animals, environments, and experiences in a positive way. So, here are some useful steps to get you started:
👉Start socialising your puppy as early as possible, ideally before 14 weeks of age.
👉Encourage your puppy to meet different types of people e.g. all ages, genders, ethnic groups and people wearing hats or uniforms.
👉Arrange playdates with older, well-behaved, fully vaccinated dogs.
👉Expose your puppy to various environments and situations they may encounter during their life e.g. busy roads, kid's playgrounds, buses, high streets.
👉Keep every encounter during socialisation positive and rewarding. Use treats and praise to reinforce good behaviour, and avoid anything that may frighten or overwhelm your pup.

Make socialisation a part of your pup's daily routine. Aim for short but frequent sessions, gradually increasing their duration. Remember that socialisation should be enjoyable for both you and your puppy, so don't stress if you can't do it all in one go.
