I can’t quite believe maternity leave has started already. My head wasn’t ready to give up yet but my body definitely was at 29 weeks. Never did I ever think I’d be so desperate to work while I was pregnant, but it’s because I love what I do. Going to miss all their little faces, feathery and furry. Snapped a couple of pictures tonight while I remembered just for the memories. So it’s Bye for now from Only Brooms and Horses 👋🏼 ♥️💜

We’re back after almost 3 weeks off. Was so lovely to see all the furry and feathery friends this morning with my little helper. Some of you may know that our waist is expanding due to growing a little human. With that in mind there won’t be any disruption to my usual working days for some time (hopefully) but I won’t be taking on any new clients for a while. Happy Friday 😊🙂😉

I never thought I’d see the day I’d trust someone outside my little circle to walk Ollie, but then along came Megan! Anyone who knows me knows how I am with my furry friends and it takes a special someone to earn my trust to care for them in my absence. So I’m very pleased Ollie has his own human to walk him while we’re away and it takes the strain off Momar walking him all the time. Thank you for looking after my boy 🩵

Today marks 6 months of Only Brooms and horses. 6 months ago was my first day doing what never feels like work but more of a hobby that I’ve had since I was 6 years old. It was a leap of faith and leaving behind my previous office job was quite literally was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m so grateful for all the support from all my furry clients humans ❤️

❄️ A BIG shout out to all the hard working grooms battling the cold weather, THANK YOU.

Make sure you wrap up warm on the yard, use lots of thick layers to trap in body heat and drink water to stay hydrated.

Stay safe and don’t forget to….

❄️ Use grit/salt on the yard, drive and around gateways
❄️ Check water twice a day, break and remove the ice from the troughs to delay it re-freezing
❄️ Drain all the water from all the taps in the lorry, (if you have a water tank) – saves the pipes from splitting when it freezes.
