Last month we rescued this girl that was kept on a wire (not even a chain)!

This is how some dogs with owners live in Macedonia...
In a pile of garbage with food scraps and barely any water.😞
Luckily she doesn't have any bigger wounds, however we need help to cover her stay in a kennel and get her spayed & vaccinated and ready for a forever home 🙏

Overlooked dogs sometimes make the best of friends 😍

When she was young Freya was caught in a catch-neuter-release program and was supposed to be released again. But while she was in the public shelter, the city council decided they wanted the dogs put down instead! Thankfully a local private shelter took Freya in and saved her life.

This nugget of gold has been overlooked in the shelter for years, perhaps because she has an issue with her hind legs.

Last month Freya arrived to one of our lovely foster families and she has never looked back 🥰

Here is an update from them:

"6 week update of Freya
Freya is our long term foster, I fostered Lenny and Charlotte before Freya. She arrived just before bonfire night, she was stressed and scared. Over the past 6 weeks she has slowly built up courage to explore our bungalow. The kitchen and living room were here 'safe areas'.

She's learned her name (was Stacey previously) she's learned that people are safe. She loves my children, and joins us for board games night, and gets very excited when grandparents visit. She also dotes on our older resident dog who helps her confidence. Freya is so chilled and easy, to say she is 7 years old and never been in a home she's been such a sweetheart.

It's taken her 6 whole weeks to finally be content In our home, she's now brave enough to explore the outside. The older ones are incredibly rewarding, she's an absolute joy and I can't wait to share how she does over the next few months."

🚨 BODIE URGENTLY NEEDS A HOME 🚨

Currently located in Leicestershire UK.

We are still urgently seeking a very special and experienced home for Bodie, a 2-year-old boy that came from another rescue, who sadly are unable to place him.

He is a Labrador-sized dog, weighing approximately 27kg, with a long body and legs. Bodie had a lively start in the Macedonian rescue, playing freely with his siblings, but has struggled to adapt to life in his current home, particularly with children and other pets.

He is a nervous boy & because of this he can be reactive to other dogs on walks but is better on a longer lead where he is it less restricted.

He is also nervous with visitors to the house he does not know sometimes leading him to snap He is being rehomed because he has proved to be too strong for the family who adopted him & also they have 2 cats & he has proved to be not cat friendly.

We are looking for an adopter who is physically fit and has previous experience of working with a large reactive dog.
He should not be rehomed with cats or children but may benefit from living with a confident resident dog and preferably by someone who lives in a semi rural location.

We are sure that with the right adopter who has the knowledge and experience he could become a better version of himself.

We are urgently seeking one experienced foster or adoptive home, or two separate foster families, for Stella and Toby.

Currently located in Kent, Stella and Toby were rescued from their home when their owner was evicted. They were temporarily placed in a foster home, but unfortunately, they had to be moved again.

They are now safe, but their current living conditions are not suitable for two paraplegic dogs. They urgently need homes with people experienced in caring for paraplegic pets.

Toby is a gentle 10-year-old, weighing 12 kg. He is a shy boy who finds comfort in human affection and gets along well with other dogs and people. Toby’s sweet and gentle nature makes him easy to love. He needs someone who can attend to his daily care, including changing his nappies and ensuring he doesn’t develop sore wounds, while appreciating his lovely personality.

Stella is approximately 6 years old and weighs 23 kg. She is also friendly and affectionate, though she has a slightly more dominant personality. Stella can guard her food but is generally loving, adores affection, and gives the best kisses. Her daily care involves changing nappies and tending to her wounds.

Stella may need an amputation in the future due to recurring wounds on her legs. Our rescue is committed to supporting her fosterers or adopters with any medical costs related to her care.

Stella and Toby have had a heartbreaking start in life. We don’t know exactly how they became disabled as they came from other rescues, but their disabilities make finding a suitable home more challenging.

Despite everything they’ve endured, Stella and Toby remain grateful for every bit of care and attention they receive. They have lost the home and people they knew but are still full of love and hope.

We have knocked on every door but haven’t yet found the right homes or help for them. They are in urgent need of proper housing and care.

Little Mimi has had no interest and we have no idea why 💔

📍Currently fostered in Essex.

Mimi is an absolute sweetheart, gets along well with her canine foster friends and her foster family.

🐶Mimi is 6 months old, medium-large size, gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would benefit from being in a home with a confident canine companion to help her feel secure.
She is also great with cats and school age children, making her an excellent choice for a family environment.

Mimi enjoys cuddles and is always eager to be part of the family, bringing joy and love wherever she goes.

We wanted to update everyone that our gorgeous girl Bobica has arrived in her foster home few weeks ago and is settling really well 💛

She is now finding her feet and becoming more confident in her environment!

We thank her wonderful fosterer for welcoming her in their home and everyone who kindly donated to get her over 🥰

This girl will be spending her first winter in a home on a warm bed and with a family who truly loves her!
No more chains, no more kennels and shelters!

Bonnie is looking for a new home 🐶

Currently resident in Mid Essex.
Bonnie almost 2 years old and has been with her family since August 2023.

Bonnie has been thriving in her home until recently when her adopter became pregnant and is now becoming very protective towards her mum and reactive towards the 2 other resident dogs.

This sort of behaviour prior to this, had only exhibited itself very mildly before where high value treats had been involved.
She has also become mildly reactive with other dogs on walks but less so when walked alone.

Her adopters describe Bonnie as the most wonderful, playful and funny pup, who and absolutely loves people. She loves walks, cuddles and socks! Bonnie is lead and crate trained; she loves a lie in but loves a treat even more! She is full of character and will never fail to make you laugh every single day. She is a tiny girl (4.6kg) but an absolute bundle of fun.

This sweet little girl needs to be adopted by a single person or family without other pets or children as she likes to be the centre of attention but in return she will give you love, cuddles & affection.

MIMI IS LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME 🥰
📍Currently fostered in Essex.

Mimi was rescued from Macedonia as a puppy and shortly afterwards found a foster home in the UK. Mimi has been thriving in her foster home where she has shown herself to be a cuddly and affectionate companion.

She is making progress with her toilet training, but is still working on letting her humans know when she needs to go. Only a young pup, we’re sure she will pick this and other good habits up in a loving home with consistent training.

The update we've all been waiting for! 🥰

Do you remember Tera, the girl who spent her whole life on the streets? Thanks to your help, her story reached her now adoptive family! ❤️

Tera has endured many winters sleeping outside in the cold, but not this winter! This year, she’ll be cozy on her very own personalized bed, and she even has a new name - Ruby. 🥰

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared our posts widely, to all the kind people who contacted us and offered to adopt her. It was a challenging process, requiring a deep sense of responsibility to ensure she found the perfect environment for her retirement years, a place where she can be happy, relaxed, and loved. ❤️

Our heartfelt thanks go out to her rescuer, a kind lady from Macedonia, who cared for her for years, eventually placing her in kennels to save her life from those who threatened to poison her. And, of course, endless gratitude to Ruby’s amazing new mum, who is showering her with love and care!

Ruby is already settling in, feeling at home, and so happy to leave behind the kennels and the streets. 🥰

After their owner was being evicted from her home and they were at risk of euthanasia with nobody to back them, our joint efforts allowed this bonded pair to find a foster home ❤️
