Strays Without Borders We're a registered non-profit organization comprised of passionate dog lovers and owners based in the UK.

Dedicated to giving back to our community by aiding in the rehoming of dogs in need from Macedonia to families across the UK who are eager to adopt.

This beautiful girl is Shiva 🥰
She spent four long years in kennels in Macedonia before her chance to shine finally arrived.

📍In November, she travelled the long journey to a foster home in Somerset.

Shiva is four years old and was born in kennels, so she had never experienced life in a home before. This was her next step – the opportunity to be part of a family. She is now ready for the final step: a home of her own.

Shiva is a beautiful, friendly girl who loves everyone. She is still a bit timid and will need to work on her confidence a little more. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can relax and grow, with people who are around most of the time until she becomes a bit braver.

A rural area would be ideal, though she will adapt to the right environment. Despite spending most of her life in kennels, she is very intelligent and her toilet training is going really well – she’s loving being part of a real family.

Shiva would benefit greatly from having another dog or dogs in the home, as she loves having friends to play with. She is spayed and has no health issues. Her smile truly lights up a room. 😍

Today, lovely Tinsel had an amazing time with Taken by Jess who kindly offered to help us and took some incredible photos of her to help find her a home!

Tinsel is a natural muse! The only thing left now is to find someone who will love her and help grow her career! 😂

Fostered in Kent 🇬🇧

Tinsel is a 4-year-old girl who has overcome incredible odds. Rescued as a 7-month-old puppy, she was pregnant and tragically injured when someone tried to take her life, resulting in her leg being amputated.

Despite this, Tinsel is a happy, active, and bouncy girl who loves playing with other dogs and radiates energy and joy. Medium-sized, healthy, and full of life, she walks (or rather bounces!) on the lead and adores adventures.

Tinsel would thrive in an active home with a garden, preferably with another playful dog and children who are dog-savvy and not too young.

🐶This is how her fosterer describes her:

"She is a very people person, is getting on with the other dogs now as well so could be homed as an only dog or with an easy going dog as she will want to be the top dog.

She is a strong personality very inquisitive walks well on a lead, not too confident in traffic so would probably do well in a country setting rather than in town. Prefers dried food to Butternut box which she has refused to eat, must be the only dog in the Uk that has 😂

She is very cheeky and knows how to give "the look" if she is not happy about something 😅. She is quite a character and knows how to bring humor and joy to those around her. ❤️"

She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, ready to bring her zest for life to a loving forever family! 🐾

Beautiful Jake is still looking for a forever home 🐾

Located in Hertfordshire 🇬🇧

Jake is a strong, beautiful boy, who is very clever and eager to learn. He is being rehomed because the social life of the family is too much for him and he doesn't cope well with that environment.

Jake would thrive in household with adults, who live in a rural, semi-rural area, are experienced with large breeds and love training their dog. He would be best as an only dog because he can guard food and he is only reactive when a dog invades his personal space.

Jake needs mental stimulation, he learns tricks very fast, is eager to please and is a very loyal boy. He enjoys long walks but is not ready to be walked off lead.

He is 4 years old, microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and has rescue back up.

Charlie is still waiting💔😞
There hasn’t been much interest for him and to say we are heartbroken is an understatement…

He has never had a stability in these 5 years, never a dedicated home that would love him and cherish him.

He has been bouncing between homes and kennels all these years and spent majority of his life in kennels and shelters.

Charlie deserves better than this.

Few words from his current carers at the kennels:

High prey drive so no cats or furry littles
Meets essential
Possible live with another gentle natured dog with multiple successful introductions at kennels
(Seems to favour male/female labs/retrievers mixes)

Charlie struggles with some reactivity to other dogs but long as you are confident and believe in him as much as he needs to do with you, you will see the kind gentle soul we all love and adore.
Charlie is your typical couch potato, he doesn’t run for anyone 😅 he walks immaculately on the lead next to you and is always checking in with a look at your hopefully for a “good boy” and a fuss or a tasty treat. We love popping into Charlie’s kennel and having a snuggle before lights out.

We just need someone to want to do that in a home 💕 where goodnight becomes a “see you in the morning”, or “I’m here if you need me.”

Charlie doesn’t want much, one nice walk a day, tasty food and a cuddle buddy."

Tomorrow is Charlie’s birthday 💔
He will be still in kennels 💔😞

It’s so heartbreaking to know that he is wasting his youth behind bars 😞

Please please share for Charlie, there must be someone out there who is the family he needs 🙏

Charlie needs an adult only home experienced with reactive and nervous dogs.
Charlie is 30kg large boy. He loves the staff at the kennels and although takes some time to warm up to people, he loves unconditionally when he trusts you.

He has couple of doggy friends at the kennels but doesn’t get on well with all dogs.
If you have a friendly & confident dog already Charlie could benefit from such a friend!

He can be met multiple times prior to adoption.
Charlie walks wonderfully on the lead and is just the sweetest dog ❤️‍🩹

The gentlest dog is looking for a foster/forever home🙏

Goldie is a 3-year-old, large-sized boy that was rescued from the streets in December 2024. Luckily, this was just before he was due to be poisoned for simply existing.

This is the horrifying reality for many Macedonian strays who are seen as a burden to the local community and are poisoned as a way to “get rid” of the problem.

Despite the cruel treatment Goldie has experienced, he is an incredibly gentle, loving and friendly boy.
He is the type of dog that radiates with kindness and is tolerant of everyone.

He gets on well with other dogs and can live with adult children. Goldie would benefit from a calm environment with a laid back family who can show him all the love he deserves.

He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with a clean bill of health.

Please, please share Spirit's post 🙏🙏🙏
With five dogs currently in kennels in the UK, each costing us around £500 per month, we simply cannot afford another dog in kennels.

We really need your help and foster homes, as we don’t have magic wands and we are at our wits' end! 😩

No matter how hard we try, without collective effort, we can’t create miracles. 😞

URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED !!!

This stunning girl is Spirit and she’s a 5.5 year old Gsd. She was initially rescued in Macedonia after being offered in exchange for an iPhone 😡. Her living conditions were disgusting and she was tied up most of the time. After her rescue she was put up for adoption and a family in the uk took her.

Like most rescues Spirit came with some issues but she has been working with behaviourists over the years and has overcome many of them. After 3 years the family suffered a break up and spirit stayed with her mum but it has become obvious that she needs more.

Spirit can be reactive to other animals and at 26kg she is very strong on the lead so her mum can’t walk her safely anywhere there are other animals about , she’s just too strong for her to handle. She can be quite dominant so would probably be best placed as an only dog. She is a very loyal and loving girl , she adores human company and being very active would benefit from an area with lots of walks and stimulation. She also loves to play in the garden and likes toys that stimulate her mind.

Gsds are very intelligent . If you think you could give her the home she needs please contact one of the team.

She is currently in Somerset but can be transported to the right home.

Stig is flourishing with every passed week and is starting to look like a dog at last ☺️

We are looking for a sponsor or several sponsors that can cover Stig's costs for kennels and meds that amount to £90 per month 🙏

The care clearly has been life changing and he is only one of the many dogs in our care currently, so your support would mean we would have to worry less about recurring costs for him 💛

Charlie's 5th birthday is just a few days away, and we desperately don’t want him to spend it in kennels. 💔🐾

Our lovely Lyra is looking for a forever home 💛🐾

📍Fostered in West Midlands

We rescued Lyra after she was abandoned by her family, who were unable to look after her.
Lyra was lucky enough to be welcomed by a lovely foster family who helped her through her recovery from surgery for luxating patella on both hind legs. After many sessions of hydrotherapy and lots of love and care, Lyra is finally ready for her own home!

Her foster mum describes her as:
She is a very lively dog, loves the garden and does zoomies all the time. She needs lots of exercise (making up for lost time), but she is happy to snuggle down afterwards for a while if she has her human with her.

She has some separation issues.
She did settle in with dog sitters (in their house) because she had long walks and they were at home with her the rest of the time.
She is still very puppy-like, mouths a lot, and will chew things.
She is not good with traffic.
She is curious about squirrels but not obsessed.
She is fine with other dogs and likes to play.
She has no recall, but we are going to work on that in the garden and in a secure field now.

Ideally, she needs a an active family who enjoy long walks and are home enough time so she's not left alone for long periods of time.
She could be rehomed with another dog; indeed, playing might help burn off some of her excess energy.
Lyra is also friendly with cats, though not currently fostered with any.
The dog sitters said she was very well-behaved, but that was probably because she had lots of walks and plenty of company.
Everyone who meets her loves her.

🐶Lyra is only 3 years old, small in size, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

The boy who lost everyone he loved is looking for a forever home ❤️‍🩹

📍 Fostered in Crowthorne, UK.

You may remember Rambo's story, he and his brother tragically lost their owner and spent two years in a shelter. Sadly, during this time, Rambo also lost his beloved brother while waiting for a home 😔💔.

At last, Rambo's luck turned when a lovely foster family welcomed him in November. Since then, we’ve seen him completely reborn. After missing the love and warmth of a family for so long, he has transformed from a sad, frustrated dog into a true love bug!

Here are a few words from his foster family:

"Rambo is a truly perfect house dog. He is house-trained and loves being around all of us, including our two children and two terrier bi***es. Each day, I pop him into his room for some alone time to keep him in the habit of being comfortable in his own space. He simply jumps into his chair and sleeps. He adores cuddles and will roll onto his back immediately for a belly rub or a nap.

In the car, he travels quietly with no barking or whining. During feeding time, his bowl is placed last, and he patiently waits for his turn. He’s equally well-behaved with treats.

Rambo walks nicely on a lead and remains unfazed by anything we’ve encountered so far, including other dogs.

He’s incredibly sweet when playing tug-of-war with people or dogs. He pulls as hard as he can, but if the other lets go, he immediately stops and steps closer so they can grab the toy again.

At night, he sleeps in his room on his chair until morning without any fuss. If you sleep in later than him and he needs to go outside (usually around 7:30 or 8 a.m.), he’ll bark just once to let you know!"

🐶 Rambo is a 6–7-year-old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped boy.
🐶 He can live with other dogs, children, but no cats or small furries.
🐾 Rescue backup is provided.
