🚨URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🚨

** Kyra – Near Glasgow, Scotland**

We’re seeking a loving home for Kyra, a sweet-natured girl born in December 2020. Rescued from the streets at just 4 weeks old, Kyra has had a challenging journey.

**About Kyra:**

- Location: Near Glasgow
- Anxious but non-aggressive, she can be sensitive to sudden movements.
- Lives with children (ages 5 and 10) and gets on well with another dog.
- Needs a home with another dog to show her the ropes and help her feel secure.
- Loves soft toys and is generally good with the children, but can react if overwhelmed.
- Enjoys cuddles on the sofa and is comfortable being groomed.
- Struggles with car rides and can bark due to anxiety, which has caused some neighbour concerns.

**Current Challenges:**
- Kyra has shown signs of anxiety around new people and loud noises, leading to some reactive behaviour.
- She requires a patient, understanding owner who can manage her sensitivities and provide a stable environment.
- Must be homed with another confident dog, cannot be an only pet.

RESCUE BACK UP PROVIDED.

Kyra deserves a chance to flourish in a quieter environment. If you feel you can provide the love and patience she needs, please submit an application:

Our small yet dedicated team set an ambitious goal for the past couple of months: to help as many dogs as possible who have been in kennels for years find homes. This month, we were thrilled to succeed in bringing both three-pawed Tinsel and Stacey, who has been in kennels for four years, onto our latest transport and into foster care.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have joined forces with some wonderful foster families who are eager to help us rehome more dogs before winter. We’ll also be welcoming two female puppies, Mimi and Kiki, who survived parvo and are awaiting their “happily ever after,” as well as our beloved Liki and a 3-pawed girl - Gizi we took out of a public shelter!

If you’d like to adopt any of these beautiful souls or become a foster family, please submit an application on our website:

❗️£400 STILL MISSING ❗️

We’re happy to share that Lyra has made some great progress and can now manage 10-minute walks! She’s also started daily exercises, four times a day, to help build her strength.

She recently had her initial assessment and physio session, where it was recommended she complete around six hydrotherapy sessions. Her muscle loss is quite substantial on the leg she wasn’t using before, and the therapy will be essential in rebuilding her strength. Each session costs about £50 and we still are missing £100 to cover her operation bill.

Any support toward these sessions would make a huge difference in helping Lyra regain mobility and comfort.
Thank you for being part of her journey to recovery!

We were asked to help this girl and when we heard her life story it broke our hearts 💔

She spent all her life in kennels, starting from 4 months when she was first rescued in 2016 and to date, waiting for someone out there to give her a chance 😞

Zaza has a very difficult start in life. When she found herself on the street as a puppy, she was attacked by local stray dogs.
She was taken to kennels for safety, but kennels are often not a great place for a pup, and as it turned out, she caught parvo virus and was fighting for her life for the second time 💔

She managed to survive it, but it lead to a weak immune system, and she developed also rachitis as often happens with malnourished young pups. Her rescuer fought very hard to help her over come all obstacles and thanks to them, little Zaza grew up into a healthy and loving beautiful girl.

Now came the challenge of finding her a home…
She is not a fluffy, white dog, we’ve noticed dogs with markings like hers are most difficult to rehome and rearly are helped. And sadly this proved to be her faith as well…

She waited year after year, she had one home offer but the family pulled out, and then 8 years later she is still in the same confined space, where nothing ever happens except for the cry of the dogs who are homeless. Some got adopted, new ones came, but she… she was the only constant resident patiently waiting for her turn 💔

Zaza is a very friendly and loving girl. She makes friends with other dogs easily, she walks nicely on the lead and is happy around people.

We are looking for a calm and not to busy household for her. She can live with another canine friend.

She’s spayed, almost 9yo, has no current health issues and just needs to be given a chance 🙏

📍Currently kenneled in Macedonia but can be adopted in the UK 🇬🇧

Rescue back up is provided.

If you think you can give her a home please submit an application:

🆘🆘 UPDATE ON STIG FROM THE DUMP 🆘🆘

Unfortunately, the news isn't good, as we feared, but we’ve faced this before and successfully helped dogs just like him, so hope remains...

We've named this boy Stig 🐾.

Stig has been diagnosed with leishmania and heartworm, and his liver is in poor condition. We don’t know his past, nor why someone abandoned him to die slowly. All we know is that he’s safe now and will finally experience love, care, regular meals, and the medicine he so urgently needs. 💔

We’ll do everything we can, but your donations towards his recovery would be an incredible help. 🙏

The road to recovery will be long, but we are looking forward to the day when this boy will once again be a happy and healthy dog 🤞🤞

We are looking for a special home for our boy Jake, please give him a share 🙏

Located in Hertfordshire 🇬🇧

Jake is a strong, beautiful boy, who is very clever and eager to learn. He is being rehomed because the social life of the family is too much for him and he doesn't cope well with that environment.

Jake would thrive in household with adults, who live in a rural, semi-rural area, are experienced with large breeds and love training their dog. He would be best as an only dog because he can guard food and he is only reactive when a dog invades his personal space.

Jake needs mental stimulation, he learns tricks very fast, is eager to please and is a very loyal boy. He enjoys long walks but is not ready to be walked off lead.

He 4 years old, microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and has rescue back up.

More videos & photos are available in the comment section.
Please give a massive share to Jake as we wouldn't want him to end up in kennels.

To adopt him please submit an application:

🆘🆘 URGENT HELP NEEDED 🆘🆘

One of the activists we support with food came across this poor soul.

Clearly, food alone is not enough... He is skin and bones, and who knows how long he has been like this. We couldn’t leave him behind, and frankly, no one even had to coax him into the car, he just followed and hopped in with his last bit of strength, as if he knew this was his final chance to survive 💔

We will do our best, but your donation toward his recovery would be a tremendous help 🙏

A beautiful update on one of our three-pawed super dog - Pippin shared by his family in our group for adopters ❤️

"Hi, this is Pippin, adopted in March 2022, he gets into the guinea pig run whist we are putting it together, his choice, Pip loves life, his rear leg was amputated before he left Macadonia and he's never looked back.On his walks he regularly just lays down for a few minutes rest, then he's up and off again. If strayswithoutborders ever doubt they are doing a good job all they need to do is come to visit Pipin x"

It is certainly rewarding and motivating to know that all over efforts have paid off and these dogs are living their best lives 🐾💛

We are very grateful to Pip's family for loving this boy unconditionally 🥰

Update on Lyra 😍

It’s been about 10 days since her surgery, and she’s already showing great improvement. She’s still on pain meds, but the vets are very pleased with her progress and have said everything looks good! 😍

We’re incredibly grateful to her wonderful foster mom, who is taking amazing care of this little girl and supporting her recovery. 💕

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has so generously contributed toward Lyra’s vet bill for her double leg operation to correct luxating patella in her knees.

🟠 We now only need £200 to cover the operation. However, Lyra has ongoing needs for medication and will soon start hydrotherapy, which will cost around £50 per session.

If you’re able to contribute, we would be deeply appreciative, as we couldn’t achieve this without your support. 🙏

We are urgently looking for a foster home for the smaller boy.
His potential fosterer just backed out and he is due to travel next week with no place to go.

He and his brother were rescued from irresponsible owners in Macedonia, escaping near death experience and it would be horrible now that his brother has a foster home, for him to be left behind.

He is 1yo, neutered and very friendly boy. His name is Rocky.
Could someone foster him temporarily please? 🙏

If you can help please apply asap:

Many of you may know Caramela and some may follow her diary on the happy endings page . For those of you who don’t , Caramela is one of the timid scared and forgotten dogs that stay in shelters for years because they are deemed unsuitable for family homes. Mainly because people are scared or unsure of giving them a chance . Unfortunately the longer they stay in that environment the worse they become . Caramelas mum and siblings all died and she has a heart problem for which she takes 1 tablet a day but she is fit and healthy .
Fortunately for her she got the chance to come to foster in the uk and she arrived in March this year. To begin with she shut down completely, was very withdrawn and didn’t leave her crate for 2 weeks . She then ventured behind the sofa and stayed there . The next few months have been full of training, trust and confidence building and giving her all the time and love she needs to help her overcome her fears . Now 8 months on she is ready to find a family of her own. She still has a way to go but with the right family we believe she will blossom . Now known as Wee Ella she is a beautiful loving soul . She craves attention but will only allow contact from humans in her safe space , her bed . She will let you stroke her and brush her there and she will snuggle in to your hand. In the open she is still a little unsure. She needs a calm home with a family that will let her continue to find her way in her own time , with no pressure . She loves her food and will accept treats from your hand . Ella must be in a family with other dogs as she looks to them for guidance and security, she loves being part of a pack . She is now fully house trained and loves nothing better than to do zoomies every morning in the garden . In the past weeks she has started to go for walks , she does need a harness and a slip lead as she will get spooked if she meets other people but she is getting better all the time . It does still take 2 to put the harness on but once it’s on she is happy to walk . This brave girl has grown in confidence and she shines with happiness now. She is a survivor and a fighter and she deserves to find a family who will love her for who she is and what she’s overcome , a family who will help her to continue to grow in confidence and show her what it’s like to belong . She’s no longer a forgotten soul , please help her remain that way and continue her journey . If you require any more information or would like to adopt please message one of the team ❤️ RBU in place

To all of you who helped and shared Artie's post, we’re pleased to let you know he’s doing very well in his foster home.

Artie was at risk of being euthanised following the passing of his adopter. Sadly, our rescue was not informed of the change in his circumstances, but thanks to the efforts of other wonderful rescuers, the information reached us. We quickly joined forces to ensure Artie’s safety and well-being. We are immensely grateful to Abbey Boarding Kennels for their outstanding support, which was absolutely crucial in safeguarding Artie’s life. They welcomed him at short notice from his temporary carers, and together we’ve made sure this boy gets a second chance after losing everything and everyone he knew.

He’s now slowly finding his feet in his foster home and enjoying life again. Teamwork was essential in this situation, and we’re thrilled that together we’ve made Artie’s life better.

Your shares and comments were immensely helpful in making this happen, so thank you all from us and Artie 💜

JAKE NEEDS A HOME 🙏
📍Located in Hertfordshire

Sadly, gorgeous Jake was abandoned on the streets of Macedonia 😔

While desperately searching for his way back home, he found himself in the loving hands of our rescuer and was placed in kennels.

As a black dog, Jake was overlooked in kennels and spent several years there waiting for a home.

However Jake’s lucky day finally came, and he travelled to the UK earlier this year. Despite having a welcoming and loving family, it has become apparent that Jake needs a quieter environment to call home.

Jake is an energetic and clever boy who is very affectionate. He has already mastered basic commands (take a look at the video in the comments!), is crate trained and is getting there with his recall and lead obedience. He loves mental stimulation in the form of playing with his toys or snuffling for treats.

It takes Jake a while to trust new people, but once he does he is a loyal and loving companion. He doesn’t like other dogs invading his personal space and will tell them so, but he is able to interact and even play with other dogs in the right scenarios.

He sometimes needs his own space to relax and decompress (don’t we all?) so a quiet, child and pet free home with access to green space is a must.

Jake’s ideal owner is someone who is patient and excited by the potential a clever boy like Jake has with the right training and development 💛

Jake is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

The story of a chained dog💔

Bobica is the second senior dog we’ve been unable to find a home for. She has spent her entire life treated like a slave, chained to a one-metre steel chain, never knowing real love, never experiencing freedom.

After being discarded on the streets, Bobica ended up in a public shelter, where she tested positive for leishmania. Despite being a purebred dog, her former family never treated or protected her from parasites. To them, she was merely there to "guard the house," a house that was never truly her home.

Bobica is such an intelligent and beautiful girl, but she finds it hard to fully trust. However, she does respond to kindness, gentle interactions, and patience. She even picks up commands quickly. She can be a bit rough when taking treats, but who could blame her after likely being starved for much of her life?

We believe Bobica is around 8-9 years old. She is now spayed and waiting in kennels, hoping for someone to finally give her a chance. She gets along with calm, friendly dogs but hasn’t been assessed with cats and wouldn’t be suitable for a home with children, as she’s never been properly introduced to them.

Bobica doesn’t ask for much. She would be happiest in a quiet home, with no high expectations, where she can simply enjoy the warmth of a soft bed and regular meals. She wouldn’t cope well in a busy, urban environment.

We sincerely hope this dear girl won’t have to spend another year living outdoors in a kennel. She deserves someone who will love her and provide her with the peaceful retirement she so deeply deserves.

Rescue back-up is provided.
To adopt her, please apply here:

Could we all share this post to help find this beautiful boy a home? 🥹💛

Liki’s story is truly heartbreaking. He was abandoned by his owners on the streets of Macedonia and was eventually taken to a public shelter. While there, Liki made some friends and even fell in love with a particular female dog (though she didn’t quite feel the same way). They left the public shelter together for a rescue shelter, which lifted his spirits. However, before long, his love found a home, and Liki was left feeling lonely once again.

Liki is an absolute sweetheart. He gets along brilliantly with all the other dogs at the shelter, is playful, food-oriented, adores the children who visit, and is simply an amazing dog.

We believe he deserves a loving home where a kind family and new friends can help heal his heart.

Liki is a 3-year-old neutered male, microchipped and vaccinated. He gets along well with everyone he meets – dogs, children, and even cats.

Let’s find him the home he truly deserves!

🙏£420 LEFT TO RAISE🙏

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has so generously contributed towards Lyra’s vet bill for her operation on both legs, due to luxating patella in her knees. Thanks to a few particularly generous donations, we’ve been able to cover most of the bill and now only need to raise £420 to pay off the remaining balance.

Lyra also has hydrotherapy sessions ahead to support her recovery, which will add to the overall costs. Any further contributions would be greatly appreciated to help cover these additional expenses.

We had a bit of a worry yesterday when Lyra stopped eating and drinking for a time, but after some gentle encouragement, her appetite returned. She’s now slowly regaining her strength and beginning her recovery.

If you’re able to contribute, we would be very grateful, as we couldn’t do this without your support 🙏
