😤🚫 NO SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS 🚫😤

There is nothing more damaging (or frustrating!) to a self employed person than people who don’t show up for their appointment, or people who cancel at the very last minute.

When we book your dogs in for their appointments, they are booked in for a time slot of anywhere between 1 and 3 hours depending on their breed, if you don’t bring your dog to their appointment, we cannot fill that time meaning that we’re not only sitting around twiddling our thumbs (feeling VERY cross!), we’re also NOT EARNING.

The average groomer loses somewhere between £100-£400 per month in no shows and late cancellations. PER MONTH!! 😱

Imagine having that amount of money taken out of your wages each month and think about how that would affect you. It’s a huge loss!

Despite how it may appear and as much as we adore our job, we are not here to play with your dogs all day, we are here to earn a living and we can only do that if you bring your dogs to their appointments.

I am now starting to charge for no shows and cancellations less then 24 hours notice, the fee will be the full price of the groom and I really hope this helps to explain why it is so necessary.

Hi everyone, I'm aware of the post that is circulating Facebook in regards to my salon. I am deeply saddened by the accusations.

The dog in question came into the salon totally matted and needed to be shaved off completely. This is not something we do light heartedly.

(I have attached pics to show this. )When dogs have been so uncared for the matting affects the skin in various ways. With severe matting on the ears hematomas can occur. Again I have attached a picture of this. Dogs will also get rashes etc as they have had no air to the skin due to the matting.

When the dog was collected it was all explained and the customer paid and left the shop.

Some days later the customer returned and asked for compensation for her vets bills. When the customer was asked to provide a report from the vet this was declined - as there would be no indication that any of this was down to the groom.

The dog had been left matted for some time due to the lack of care by the customer herself and this in turn is what's resulted in this.

We are an established business and have been for some time. Slanderous posts are a simple way to try and destroy businesses but I am confident that our continued loyal customers will read this and know that there's no truth behind it.
