We (Susan and Frank Corbett) started a stud farm here 20 years ago and with son James Corbett have trained racehorses here for eight years. We focus on getting the best out of each horse with tailored train

ing plans, diverse facilities, and a dedicated team. We welcome visitors by appointment to the yard to see our training in action, to discuss bringing your own horse here, or to join one of our affordable syndicates.

His first run was in a handicap hurdle at Carlisle, 2nd by only ¾ length to C’est Difference, who has now gone up in the ratings to 109. Wee Alki is rated 93 over hurdles.

It’s a great opportunity to get involved in our small, friendly yard with a horse that is ready to run! He’ll eventually run over 3 miles and he is a super character.

As the year draws to a close, we’re reflecting on some of our racing highs throughout 2024. ✨🐎 It’s certainly been a year of ups and downs as always in our racing world!🎢 We’ve had our best season yet in 10 years of having a licence, and our first Listed Winner in Pinot Rouge. Velasco takes away the title of ‘best horse’ on the yard in terms of prize money and Atomic Angel continues to win races despite her pint size! 🌱 Samwise saw us reach the ‘100 winners’ milestone and Beyond The Verge scooped his first ever bumper win. We welcomed into the fold a new social media manager and content creator in @charleymos_ , who has opened up the gates of Girsonfield to the internet whilst jockey @nath.mos established closer links with the yard this year, partnering an impressive 8 winners for us so far this season! ⭐️ As we drive on into a new year, a huge thank you must go out to absolutely everybody who has assisted in making the Girsonfield cogs turn this year. Our fantastic, hard-working Team at home and our ever patient owners - without which, none of this could happen. And of course, thank you to all of you here choosing to follow along on our journey.
