It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of ICBP as a public facility in Newent, Gloucestershire after almost 55 years of welcoming the public and sharing our birds.

Like many businesses the toll of the last two years has been huge, and we feel we must take steps to ensure the future of our charity and its work. This is by no means the end of ICBP, and we are excited to share our next steps with all our supporters. However, these steps will be as a private charitable conservation facility and no longer as a public collection.

Can you help? Newspaper wanted 🗞

Our injured bird of prey hospital relies on lots of lots of newspaper and we’re about to run out! If you have a pile waiting to be recycled, we’d love to make use of it. We can use all newspapers, just not magazines, and staple free is a big bonus.

If you would like to donate some, please drop it off at the office next time you’re passing us. Thank you from Team ICBP!

♻️ Recycling is very important which is why we employ only the best cardboard inspectors!

We try to reduce, reuse & recycle as much as possible and that includes enrichment items for our birds (when safe to do so). Paisley the Andean condor loves cardboard boxes, especially our delivery boxes from Marshfield Farm Ice Cream!
