Ode to Veterinary Professionals
You may never have seen behind the consultation room in a veterinary practice.
So take a look at the work our vets and nurses do on the front line every day to look after animals in veterinary practices, hospitals, in the field and on call - so that they receive the best possible care.

This is a case of cheyletiella (more commonly known as ‘walking dandruff’) that was spotted under the microscope during a recent visit at the practice.
This is a type of mite that can be found on dogs, cats, rabbits and even humans!
Typical signs in animals present with dry scabs / dandruff (hence the name walking dandruff!), hair loss, and itching.

Working together on the safe disposal of your pets’ unused antibiotics:
Did you know that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a world-wide health threat,
as bacteria are becoming resistant to many antibiotics that we use in human and
veterinary medicine?
This handsome chap is called Alfie 🥰
We have been lucky to see him since he was a tiny kitten, and this means he is very relaxed when in the practice. 😻
Here Alfie is having a drink from the tap in our Nurses room!
🌟 Feline friday 🌟
On Fridays we are going to share our top cat tips 🐱
This is Oreo, she is recovering from surgery which means she has to stay indoors. Her owner has grown some cat grass to keep her entertained.
Cats that are either kept indoors or have periods of indoor restriction need enrichment in their environment to keep them happy and their minds stimulated.
This video shows our team using an endoscope to remove a sock which this dog had eaten. We removed 3 socks from his stomach! Luckily we were able to remove them using the scope which meant no surgery was needed 👍😀
