As much as I would love to help so many owners and dogs with boarding, here at Lead On we are fully booked for 2025 and 2026 and closed to any new clients for boarding.

We really appreciate all your enquiries for boarding and as always if any dates do become available they will be posted up on my page and if not filled by existing clients then I will accept new clients to come on board here at Lead On.

We know it can be a confusing minefield out there when it comes to choosing the right trainer or behaviourist for your doggo-

People often use words like 'top dog' and 'alpha' to talk about their dog or puppy. But this idea can lead people to use training methods that aren't good for dogs at all.

Some people think punishing a dog makes it behave better. But actually, this will have a terrible effect on your dog's well-being.

Some people advocate for what's known as 'balanced training.' While it may sound neutral, it includes old and outdated techniques that will scare and hurt your dog.

Also, remember, anyone can say they're a 'trainer,' 'behaviour expert,' or a 'behaviourist' for dogs, even without proper qualifications.

Make sure to listen to someone who really knows their stuff, who is qualified and accredited, and who uses positive, scientifically proven methods that are safe and proven to work.

Up to Five Spaces available per session.

We keep groups small so everyone gets a great training experience

45 minute sessions.

After standing and staring at this for a good 15 minutes trying to figure it out he then decided he wanted to move forward and try check it out. Then afterwards stood and stared again until he decided it was not moving.😊

Here at Lead On we love nothing more than helping others and helping people to learn.

It can be hard to find someone to shadow on a 121 basis in the dog world and there is a mindfield of information out there so it can be hard sometimes to know where to turn.

So, I have been approached to be a mentor and have agreed to help teach and train and share my knowledge and shadow me to help them to become a dog trainer and help them on their journey into the dog world.

This person is currently studying Applied Animal Science at Usk College and keen to learn much much more.

So, in the near future you will be seeing the Two of us. Just finalising a few more things before we get started.😀

For those that know me, an understanding of canines and studying and getting those qualifications and experince is so important as looking after dogs comes with needing to understand body language, canine behaviour the list can go on and it should also be top of the list to for anyone caring for your beloved pet. I totally understand everyone starts from the beginning to grow but always good to know that if some one is taking the time to learn in this unregulated sector then that is a good start 😀

And ending Sunday on a high note. Working with fearful dogs is my absolute passion and such a beautiful thing to see the dogs emotions changing over time. Olly you have come so so far and here you are having time running with Brody. 🐾

A great short video sent to me by one of my lovely clients who came to me for help with her dog as this gorgeous boy stuggles with lunging and barking at people and dogs. Using the methods shown and working brilliantly with her dog the results are now starting to show. It is still early days but from lunging to a much calmer walk with a dog behind too (not able to show other dog as filming was on her walk). Small steps we are all working together. We meet and then we also do some remote working together. Absolutely lovely work from both 😍
