Equestrian complex containing 60m x 25m indoor and 60m x 40m outdoor arenas with fibrewax surfaces from Day Equestrian. Available to hire the arenas not only welcome individual and groups of riders but also host all day events including British Dressage as well as non affiliated competitions run by local riding groups. The arena also hosts the IOW Petanque league, local football teams and is avail

able for large scale event hire with the potential to hold several thousand people. Holiday livery is available in a modern well-lit stable complex with hot wash, solarium and horse-walker and dedicated tack and feed rooms and individual grazing if required. A safe on site hacking track approx 3 miles long suitable for riders of all abilities. A variety of lessons are available from pony rides for young children, pony pamper sessions, flat, pole and jumping lessons for individuals and groups, activity clubs and clinics with guest instructors throughout the year. The centre is RDA Accessibility Mark accredited and has a fully motorised hoist capable of lifting a wheelchair user directly from their chair onto horseback, as well as an adapted mounting block and specialist riding equipment. We also have one of the few Changing Places toilets on the Island with shower, hoist and adult changing bed. A charity run cafe provides hot and cold drinks and snacks with all profits supporting the Wighthorse CIC providing free and subsidised riding opportunities for disadvantaged children and young adults as well as those with physical limitations. In conjunction with HTP Apprenticeship College our classroom and yard hosts full time NVQ students working towards equestrian qualifications. The classroom is also available for private hire and already welcomes a number of local groups. We offer children's parties that can be themed as unicorn or knights with riding included and a private room is included for guests to provide their own food and drinks. Our onsite holiday accommodation in a range of 2,3 and 4 bedroom houses can sleep between 2 and 60 guests and our glamping safari tents can host schools and groups of up to 64 (schools only) as well as families during the Summer months and of course Isle of Wight Festival. Riding holidays are available to book with or without your own horse and include amazing beach and trail excursions high on everyone's 'bucket list'. Work is well under way on a fully licensed bar and restaurant with plenty of dining areas and a private function room for hire whilst large 'al-fresco' areas with stunning countryside views will no doubt be popular on warmer evenings.

We are devastated to announce the loss of GG today.
One of our most popular ponies she was tragically hit by a one in a million direct lightning strike this morning in the sudden storm.
Thank you for the support of all of the restaurant diners who sadly witnessed the tragedy happen and the riding centre staff who despite their immediate response were unable to save her.
Here she is posing in front of her namesake GG's Bar and Restaurant she will be terribly missed by us all.

We can only take bookings via the app so please register online and then download the app and add your child as a rider, then email [email protected] requesting they be added to the HAF group where you will then be able to see the Activity Course and book. These FREE 4 hour sessions run 12,13,14 and 16th August from 9am till 1pm and include a mid morning snack and hot lunch. You must be in receipt of means tested free school meals to qualify and we have funding for a limited number of spaces for SEN registered children each day too.
Maximum of 3 spaces per child over the two weeks please to give everyone chance.
Please DO NOT call the office to book as we are unable to book these slots over the phone and all staff will be busy supervising the various activities and lessons we have running.

Thank you to Vix Lowthian Green Party leader who came for a chat with myself and Jan Brooks from Isle Access last week, about SEN further education, courses and employment here on the island. And how we can make improvements and what is already on offer. Vix then kindly awarded some of our kids club children their official Pony Club Grooming badges. Last week we had 90 children receive their Pony Club badge. Well done to all. Thank you to # ABRS+ We also had 5 members complete their ABRS awards. Again well done to them. Our first vet student of the year was the islands very own Izzy. We have 3 more placements this year with trainee vet students. Izzy is traing to become a vet at Liverpool Uni. We wish her all the best. All our ponies had their TPRs taken as we do every quater. Here she is with Lady. I dont think any of our ponies want to see a thermometre again!

Not long until the islands...... Royal Isle of Wight County show our IRC hobby horses are well rested in their stables tonight and raring to go! All 16 of them. They are looking forward to meeting everyone and we have a wonderful goodie bag for the finale winners.

We have postions for the following jobs. Office Equine Admin PA P/T. To work in our busy office to include weekends. To manage our office and online booking system. Must be someone who is confident, organised, excellent at computers and multi task.

Instructors/coach PT or Full time weekends MUST have first Aid, safe guarding, level 2 minium NVQ horse care and UKCC level 2 Coach, up to date equine CPDs required and a good understanding of current horse welfare. Customer service is a MUST. 15 hours £15.00 ph for qualified staff.

Yard Groom Apprentice to start immediatly for (Paid) work experience over the summer September to begin course. Customer service is a must, kind and gentle with ponies. 30 hours a week. Over 16s.

We even have a dedicated party stable!🎉 Our parties are for a minimum of 4 children, and a maximum of 8, and costs £20 per child.
