This time last year we watched you face your toughest battle, now we're watching you go down your slide backwards and finding it hilarious (thanks for that present santa) You are my two favourite little people and I couldn't have asked for two amazing, fearless little girls to do 2023 with. Keep being you and aging me daily, I wouldn't change life for a second.

And that's a wrap. MERRY CHRISTMAS from all of us. I can't thank you all enough for all the love and support throughout this year and making my decision to re open the right one. When Alora was discharged from hospital I never thought life could be how it was before but we're smashing it, you've all become my best friends and I couldn't ask for a better bunch. I can't thank you enough for all being so understanding.
A big thank you must go to Emily for holding me together for the first few weeks of reopening, I'm sure she thought I'd never stop crying 🫣 without you I couldn't have faced the music so thank you 😍
For now I'm going to pour a large glass of wine, sit back and wait for the big guy to arrive 🎅🏻🎄
What a difference a year can make, MERRY Christmas everyone and we'll see you all in 2024 😘

55 weeks on and antibiotics are the thing in our house at the moment 🫣
I'm still a bit chesty but I've finished my antibiotics and hoping this cough will be on its way soon. Word on the street everyone has it at the moment 🫣
I went to Noah's Ark Thursday for my monthly RSV injection, I'm so feisty I now get both injections in one leg 🫣 I did only need mummy and the nurse to hold me down this time so that's progress 🤣🤣🤣
Fast forward to Friday night and it was Aoife's turn for an emergency out of hours gp appointment 🫣 swollen lymph nodes in her neck, inflamed tonsils and a raging temperature, more antibiotics that mummy says DO NOT taste like banana and the doctor told a fib and Aoife's finally on the mend. Two nights on Aoife's floor and mummy's feeling a little older this week, we'll get her a hat for Christmas to cover the grey hairs 🤣🤣🤣

54 weeks on... we've been a little sidetracked with the loss of our little Popstar, the house is so quiet without the sound of her little toes tip tapping around 💔 but we have her back home with us now 🥰
Meanwhile in my world I'm becoming very high maintenance apparently, from escaping up the stairs at any given chance 🤣 splashing in the dogs water bowl, helping mummy with the Christmas treats which obviously involves the taste test 🤣taking the Christmas tree apart daily and trying to swing off the Christmas lights, who needs a naught elf when you have an Alora 🤭 I've also landed myself with another chest infection but I'm not letting that stop me ✊🏻
Oh and this chap in a red suit, I'm not his number one fan yet but Aoife seems to love him 🤣🤣🤣

One year to the date our lives changed within an hour.
One year to the date we were told to prepare for the worst possible outcome.
One year to the date we had you baptised.
One year to the date we were told our options of a putting you on a machine to take over the work of your heart and lungs, but the negatives out weighed the positives or stopping your life support.
One year to the date that these were never going to be options for our little fighter.

Alora certainly made all the decisions over the next few months that followed. And kept the doctors thinking and working very very hard to follow her way to recovery.

One year to the date it seems surreal that we actually went through this when you see how strong and determined you are.

One year to the date, the day we'll never forget.

Alora we will always be in awe of how you're fighting through this huge battle with a smile on your face and never a down day.

We've got this team Alora ✊🏻

And in the blink of an eye I'm a one year old 😍🥳🥳🥳🥳
I've celebrated non stop, eaten anything and everything, I've definitely gain a pound or two and eaten my body weight in cake 🤣 I've been spoilt rotten with so many presents and had the best time. We finished off the celebrations with a chilled trip to softplay today 😊 I wish it could be my birthday every day I LOVE CAKE 😋
