Morning all!

I STILL HAVE VERY LIMITED ACCESS TO A BROKEN PHONE.......SO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SENT WHATSAPP MESSAGES CAN YOU PLEASE ALSO SEND A MESSAGE TO MY PAGE.

I CAN LOG ON WITH THE LAPTOP TO GET MESSENGER BUT I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH WHATSAPP ON MY BROKEN DEVICE!

DPD ARE IN FOR A GRILLING WHEN MY REPAIRED PHONE IS FINALLY BACK, IT HAS TAKEN THEM SINCE NOVEMBER TO COURIER MY PHONE!!!!

I have been very quiet on my socials since NOVEMBER!! A dog knocked my phone from my hand smashing it. I have had no end of problems getting it repaired. It's sad really because I wanted to update you all on what a wonderful Christmas and New Year we had here at Duchy Dog Lodge with a couple of our favourite hounds sharing the festive season with us. But no phone means no photos and a social story just isn't the same without the evidence of the fun the dogs have been having! But, we are still here, still busy, still loving having your pooches keep us company. AND we have bookings for almost EVERY 'working' day of 2024. Not fully booked as we can take multiple dogs each day, but the days are busy! Thank you all for your continued support. As a new business it has overwhelmed me with how superb things have been. And it isn't stopping any time soon. So HAPPY NEW YEAR to friends, clients, dogs and humans. We look forward to welcoming you all for muddy walks and fireside snoozes until the sun makes a return.

I have space for two of your wonderful woofers to stay with us from Wednesday 27th December through until January 2nd!!

This can be booked as a whole week or odd days.

I had lots of people try to book in and I had to turn them away. The dates are re available due to a change of plans for the doggy that was booked in.

I can not contact any one who previously enquired. But, please do feel free to contact me again.

Hello everyone.

My phone screen has broken. I am receiving messages, whatsapps and emails but I can not see them on my phone.

The phone will be sent off for repair but will be gone for a week!!

In the meantime I am trying to set up an old phone to carry on as usual with limited disruption.

I am currently unable to take the photos and videos of your dogs that I usually do, so I can not update anyone either.

Rest assured that all doggos are fine though.

For anyone who has whatsapp'd me can you please use Facebook messenger to contact me instead? Or leave me a comment and I will respond as best I can as quickly as I can.

This is super inconvenient. But hopefully will be sorted asap.

I have very rare spaces for November.
Fully booked for the first 9 days.
Then random availability for the remainder of the month.
Some days have one space, some have three!

This is how I think I should tackle the hippo…. The bath set up for soaking hay for the ponies.
Temporarily an outdoor bath for all things beastly …. And it even has the luxury of hot water via the hot wash for the horses. Lucky hippo 😂😂

This is a hippopotamus disguised as a golden retriever….. he doesn’t do this in CLEAN WATER.
He saves himself for half empty, muddy streams and bogs!!

SPACES AVAILABLE

NOVEMBER 12th 13th & 14th

Then again NOVEMBER 19th - 26th

I have space for one or two pooches on those dates. Home boarding or day care.

I also have a family of three dogs reschedule their December booking.

So now those dates have been released again for others who may have wanted them previously. Or anyone else who needs home boarding. Those dates are
DECEMBER 3rd - 6th

ALSO IN DECEMBER FRIDAY 8th- MONDAY 11th.

Why not book your dog in for their very own holiday. Stomping through woods, running in open fields and warming up by the open fire afterwards.

2024 is almost upon us….. And as 2023 comes to a close, so does our first year in business. And what a year we’ve had. Honestly, it has been outstanding!!

I’m turning lovely dogs away almost daily for the Christmas period which has been fully booked since the summer!

I do have a very limited number of spaces in November/early December but not many at all.

Let me know if you would like to book anything durning the remainder of the year. Depending on dates of course.

Then there’s the NEW YEAR ✨✨

Many dates for 2024 are already booked, many dates are still available.
However, to avoid disappointment if you wish for your dog to stay with us during 2024 you will need to be organised and get your dates in quickly.

Thank you all for helping me to make this wonderful idea not only a reality but a success!

I look forward to seeing faces old and new as we continue through the rest of this year and into the next ❤️🐕

We decorated him slightly with a birthday banner and sang him happy birthday before the kids went to school.

Messenger isn’t showing the messages despite telling me that I have some. My personal account is the same atm too.

Once I type in a name I can see the message but if I don’t know who they are from I can’t put a name in and can’t see what’s there.

Todays doggos had a different day than usual here.
I’ve had a bit of a accident and am on crutches…. I know…. Not ideal.
So, the dogs have had a run in the paddock. And garden time. But no walkies…. With the wind howling like it has done today the dogs didn’t seem to mind.
I’m fortunate enough to have help. So the dogs are well cared for. And enjoyed a day of relaxation.

I’ve not called the name “Diesel” for such a long time.
Bitter sweet with having this beautiful boy …. With the same name as my bonkers best friend Diesel the springer spaniel…. Stay for a couple of days. ❤️

My own girls. Mumma and pup. And what a pup she is. Super intelligent and hands down the best behaved of ALL the dogs that come through the door here. She is so respectful of other dogs and humans and that goes a very long way to making sure she doesn’t push boundaries, test anyone, or generally try to have the hierarchy over me. ….. mostly anyway. 😉
