Our final week of our Tuesday puppy class!
What a week it was. There was fun, laughter and of course some learning.

Our 1-2-1’s from yesterday with this gorgeous pair.
A wonderful catch up with a super special boy. Progress is happening all the time, and the best bit is, everything is done using scientific methods of training, so good to see.
Secondly, we met a gorgeous new pooch joining the NPADT gang. It was such a pleasure and this dog is so smart!
Building on some existing behaviours, keeping the brain ticking over and just enjoying life.
Can’t wait to see both of these pups again soon.

What a superb day of 1-2-1’s
A total of 3 today, but one is an agreed no socials post.
We started off with a new pup joining the NPADT crew, looking at a number of behaviours, how dogs learn and how we do it through science based positive training.
Such a great session.
Session 2, no pic of this one but a gorgeous girl we have been working with alongside her dedicated owner.
Coping through adolescence can be tricky, but this amazing team are nailing it.
Session 3, another newbie, wow, what a dog!
Movement skills, lead walking, focus training it was such a pleasure working with this girl and her amazing owner.
Unbelievable another week has come to an end.

A combination of puppy and life skills tonight.
Sadly there’s still a lot of illness affecting humans and pups affecting numbers, but we still had fun, we still learnt a lot and we still used positive reinforcement.

Our two 1-2-1’s today. A bit of a Shepherd kind of day.
First of, we caught up with an amazing boy who is SMASHING life. So proud of the journey and how far we’ve come! Can’t wait to continue more immense stuff soon.

First of all it was off to see a gorgeous pup.
Looking at how we can help through tricky adolescence, we looked at numerous ways to improve calmness and keep things positive.
Secondly, we went off to see a Maligator, or MaliRaptor

We are super excited to launch out first reactivity workshop!
Taking place on the 26th October 2024, this small group session will give you lots of hints and tips on how to help you through difficult situations.
With the help of a fully qualified dog trainer, we will guide you through why your dog reacts, how we can overcome this, and how we can make life much happier for everyone.
Having a reactive dog ourselves, we know how it can feel when we have the kick off moment. However having worked super hard on what drives the emotions, looking at how scientific positive reinforcement helps, and how we can adapt her emotional response, we have a much happier dog.
It is all about time and consistency.

Social confidence walks will be coming back to Newquay Puppy and Dog Training.
We will be holding them again starting next month. They are suitable for dogs who need that little bit of help around other dogs. When excitement takes over, or focus of loose lead walking disappears when they see other people or dogs, our confidence walks with a qualified trainer will help guide you through these moments.
Sadly these general social walks are not suitable for reactive dogs.
We will look to run a reactive dogs walk too.

5 months old and loose lead walking like a boss!!!
