Tobi’s the Dax is looking for his new home.
Beau age 9 is an Alaskan malamute and Hunter age 6 are both neutered and find themselves needing a new home through sad family circumstances.
We are really hoping both dogs can find a new home together.
They are fit, healthy and active and very affectionate with people.
No cats or other dogs but they are used to children.
Please email [email protected]
Wallace is a sweet and gentle labrador X staffie.
He’s 6 years old and enjoys his comforts and snuggles with humans.
Wallace has been loved his whole life and sadly due to family circumstances he finds himself needing a new home.
Wallace cannot live with other dogs or cats but he can live with sensible children who are dog savvy.
He has spent some time with Ruth our behaviourist this morning and he greeted several dogs off lead and showed how much he loves water and treats!
He is finding living with another dog quite stressful at times and needs to be the only dog in his home but he can spend time out on walks with other dogs.
Wallace enjoys 2 walks a day and spends much of his the rest of his time relaxing outside in the sunshine.
He’s very affectionate and is ready to find his forever home.
If you are interested in adopting Wallace please get in touch on [email protected]
Penny (black dog in the video) hasn’t had a huge amount of interest in her, maybe because she is a black dog (they are always harder to rehome) but mainly her excitability and dog reactivity was such a big behavioural issue to overcome.
She has been in our care over a year and has come so far.
Dog reactivity can only improve through a huge amount of effort from the humans in a dogs life.
Penny’s team of Nicola, Sharon, Kim, Conor and Ruth as well as Lauren and Elliot and the team from Crestlands Kennels have all contributed to this moment on Friday.
After careful introductions to these 3 dogs separately over a period of months, Penny is now able to be off lead around dogs she know!
This is a huge step as her excitement levels previously would mean barking, lunging, snapping at any dogs in sight.
We have trained her on site, around the boating lake in Newquay, in her foster homes, at kennels, in places where other dogs are on leads and on a long line lead on beaches and in the woods.
We are dedicated to improving the behaviour of every dog in our care and getting Penny to this stage has moved us to tears.
We are so proud of how far she has come and we mainly have the wonderful Nicola to thank as she has gone above and beyond to get Penny to this stage😍
We will post more videos of Penny and her progress soon!
You can now donate in a number of ways to help rehabilitate dogs like Penny and to help us with the new dogs coming into our care.

Bank Holiday fun 😍
Remember Maisie's pups? Here they all are having a catch up today.
Looks like they had a lot of fun!
Our behaviourist Ruth and training team have been working hard with Penny who was very dog reactive.
In this clip Ruth and Nic set up a freework session in the secure field and worked towards Barney and Penny off lead😊
Taking time using positive training methods and going at the dogs pace brings great results like this 😀
If you are interested in rehoming or fostering then please contact our team on [email protected]

Maisie’s Christmas Wish
Can you help Maisie and her puppies this Christmas?
We were contacted by the vets late last Friday evening asking if we could take a mum and her (9) 24 hour old pups.
She had been signed over to them in the final stages of labour and in a very poorly state. She had to be operated on to save both her and her puppies.
We were luckily able to transfer her straight to a foster home where she is currently being monitored closely, ensuring that she can feed all of the pups but ready to step in should they need additional support.
We have been left with the very large vet bill from the operation, and also still need to raise and care for all 10 dogs, including preparing them for adoption in the future.
We can not do this without your help, we desperately need donations to be able to continue. Maisie and her puppies deserve to be cared for. Please find it in your heart to donate to Maisie and her babies this Christmas. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps so much.

We will keep you updated with their progress.
Buddy is building confidence but is still a worried boy looking for his forever home
Everyone likes an outtake don’t they?
Our behaviourist Ruth was working with Otto yesterday when he started sniffing fox poo😳😬
Shame she didn’t spot the slippery rock too! 😂😂
No dogs or people were hurt in the incident 🙈😜
Ok lurcher lovers..what do you think of Smokey?
Will post some videos of his zoomies shortly!
Smokey is 18mths, and finds himself needing a new home as he’s just a bit more energy than his current home can manage.
He’s dog friendly, in fact a home with a dog who loves to run and play would be perfect for him!
Smokey could live with dog savvy children over 10 years and needs a secure garden.
He walks well on his lead and loves to play.
He’s affectionate (we have all been kissed today!) and due to past experience of being in rescue kennels he really struggles being home alone but this is something that can be worked on with our team😀
Smokey needs a cat free home with fun loving outdoor people.
To begin with he needs someone at home with him or he could go to work with.
He’s a great pup, with a hilarious attitude to life and we are smitten!!
To adopt or arrange a meet and greet with Smokey please contact us on [email protected]

Little Koda after playing chewy bitey games with his toys and half an hour training session, settled down with our behaviourist Ruth to watch some TV😀
He seems to enjoy Squid Games 😀
Please help towards her veterinary care!
We took this beautiful dog into our care yesterday, she weighs 10kg - she should actually weigh 16kg. (This video doesn't give a true picture of how emaciated she really is 😔)
The full history of her health has been very vague, she was placed into foster care yesterday to discover that she vomits all of her food back up after eating.
She has had a veterinary work up today and we are awaiting further results.
At 18months of age she isn't fully house trained and obviously her condition isn't helping.
She is the most adorable girl, literally can't express enough how lovely she really is.
She is temporarily secured in foster care, but will potentially need back up help, we are also asking for donations toward her veterinary bills.
If you can help then please donate to:-

You may remember Peggy..she was up for rehoming a few months ago, but her behaviour was deemed so bad that we kept her in foster care to assess her.
Peggy (Princess Peggy affectionately named by her Fosterer) is a 2y.o cockapoo.
Peggy is a resource guarder- (see link)
a natural behaviour, but unfortunately Peggy didn't have the correct training at the start, which in turn as caused unwanted behaviour.
With an understanding, patience and continual training Peggy will learn to stop. (We will support you with her training)
https://www.battersea.org.uk/pet-advice/dog-advice/dealing-resource-guarding
Peggy is a beautiful, sweet, loving dog and fun to have around.
Her ideal home looks something like this:-
No children.
Someone that works from home, or can take with them throughout the day.
Someone who can dedicate training and maybe want to do something like Scent Training, agility etc with her.
Someone that has experience with behavioural issues.
Peggy has got on with her fosterers dogs, but would probably prefer to be the only dog, so she can have all of the attention to herself 👸
Please only show interest if you can be prepared to continue her training journey.
Genuine interest? Then please [email protected]
Hugo came to play and train today with his fosterer 😀
Such a fun loving boy!
Who wants a bouncy enthusiastic boy to join their family?
He needs ongoing training but this boy is bright!!
He’s food and toy motivated and loves a comfy sofa!

Today we took ownership of 5 seven week old XL bully pups, because their owner was concerned of the upcoming government legislation.
We have been able to secure foster homes for them all, where they will be socialised, trained, (including muzzle), so that they can step out into the world as confident, well-behaved dogs.
We hope to blog their journey, showing how these dogs can be well balanced, how they can actually enjoy wearing a muzzle and to watch them grow.
In time we will search for the right home for each of them.
