❌REMOTELY CONTOLLED ELECTRONIC SHOCK COLLARS - Have your say today ❌

Remotely controlled electronic shock collars inflict unnecessary pain and fear on dogs. Their use (on dogs) has been banned in several European countries on the grounds of animal welfare and this is something we would love to see happen in Ireland also.

This is currently under consideration by the Advisory Council for Companion Animal Welfare, which advises the Minister on such matters. If you would like to have your say on this matter, submissions should be sent by email to [email protected] before 26th January 2024.

I’ve had the pleasure of this gorgeous big fella the past few days while his keeper was away, it was great being able to help him flourish and be so relaxed in the company of other dogs without reaction ! So relaxed now and loves his cuddles!
What a handsome boy - he’s a beezer !

Friends - as a frightful night approaches for our beloved pets here’s a great way to keep them settled, firstly move your pets to a room you feel would both be the quietest and darkest ! Make the room as bright as possible adding extra lamps if needed, close blinds and curtains as tight as possible! Put a Tv in the room and increase the volume slowly to as high as needed to distract from the noise but most importantly Do Not React to the fireworks just cuddle and reassure your pets!! Calm cool and collect with lots of cuddles ! Jimx
