🌩 Storm Eowyn🌩

As Storm Eowyn approaches our shores tomorrow we thought we would share some tips on keeping your pets safe for the stormy weather ⛈

🐶Avoid dog walking throughout the storm.

🐱Keep cats indoors or provide a safe space for them away from the storm.

🐰For small furries, bring their houses indoors if possible or make sure they are secure and sheltered.

🐶Ensure gates and fences are secure before letting your dogs out to the garden.

🐕🐈 Make sure your pets microchip details are up to date. A tag attached to your pets collar with your phone number can also help reunite you with your pet if they were to escape.

❤️Provide comfort and TLC. A sheltered den inside for dogs and cats can give them somewhere to settle. A radio or tv on to help distract from any noise can help provide comfort.

🫶Take care of yourself & Stay Safe!

💕Oh my gosh we cannot get over how cute these Dachshund puppies are! 💕
Would you believe Brian helped these pups come into the world via cesarean section 8 weeks ago! They were back today for their health check, vaccinations and microchipping! 🩺While we only managed to photograph 2 , there were actually 4 pups who are all thriving! Well done puppies! 🥰

🐾Meet Bruce🐾
Working dog Bruce came in to see Brian as he was having some difficulty with his bladder💦.
🩻 An x-ray was taken which showed a large bladder stone, and Bruce was taken into theatre to have this surgically removed.
As there are a few different types of urinary stones, we sent the stone to a diagnostic lab for analysis. 🧪
Once we got the results, we were able to put Bruce on the correct food 🥗- which will stop any more crystals and stones forming in his bladder.
We are happy to report that Bruce is doing well, and is back at work! 🦆
💕Well done Bruce💕

👻 This Halloween we bring you the 'Tale of the Tail' 🎃
❗️Warning, post contains a graphic image ❗️
Meet Jimo, who unfortunately got the end of his tail caught in a self closing door. This accident resulted in a 'degloving injury' where the skin and tissue was completely removed from the end of the tail. As you can see from the photo, it was pretty gruesome, and was described at home as his 'zombie tail'!
Due to the extent of the trauma, Jimo had his tail amputated above the injury. We are happy to report he is doing well, his fur starting to grow back, and he no longer has a 'zombie tail'! 👻
🐾Well done Jimo🐾

This beautiful boy travelled in style to Dock Street today to get his stitches removed. He recovered super well after getting a lump removed, so Brian has given him the all clear to get back to his busy walking routine! 🐾

🍂September is 'Animal Pain Awareness Month' 🍂
This month we would like to shine some light on how we, as pet owners can be more aware of our pets pain, and how we can be proactive to help manage their pain. So with this in mind we thought we would share some information on 🐾.

Osteoarthritis (inflammation of the joints) is a very common condition, particularly as our pets age.
