Our Community Drop-in Centres will now be offering food from today and throughout this week from 9am to 9pm at the following locations:

โžก Downpatrick Leisure Centre
โžก Ballymote Centre, Downpatrick
โžก Newcastle Centre
โžก Kilkeel Leisure Centre
โžก Newry Leisure Centre
โžก Crossmaglen Community Centre (shower facilities are not available)

Residents still impacted can access a warm space, food, tea/coffee, changing facilities, showers and charge devices.

If you know members of the community who are still without power and require non-medical support, such as community transport to access the Councilโ€™s Drop-in Centres, referrals can be made to our support team. ๐Ÿ“ž0330 137 4019 between 9am-5pm or ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ email [email protected].

We would like to notify you all that a price increase will come into effect from 1st of March 2025.

To board one cat will be ยฃ9 per day.

Discounts will apply for multiple cats booked into single chalets.

We appreciate and understand that this can be frustrating, but this will enable us to continue to provide our feline friends a comfortable and safe stay, providing a high standard of care; health and hygiene being of the upmost importance.

Our Story

Buskhill Cattery is a DAERA (NI) licensed cattery, conveniently located just off the A1 between Newry and Banbridge on our family farm surrounded by acres of green fields in the very scenic countryside of Newry and Mourne.

We are a family owned and run cattery, housing your beloved pets in individual, purpose built chalets inside our beautiful converted barn.

Husband and wife team, Robert and Kayleigh, are passionate about animals and animal welfare; each hold their Level 3 Award in Cattery Management. In addition, Robert worked as a Welfare Officer for the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for eight years where he was responsible for the testing and inspection of both hens and cattle across the Newry and Mourne area.
