INTRODUCING
Jessica Rabbit

Jessica Rabbit is an adorable Crossbreed (we are guessing podenco x bully) or a dog cross with a rabbit? Who is approximately 1-2 years old

Jessica is a sweet girl who always loves a fuss made of her. She can be a little bit stubborn at times.

Jessica does pull slightly on the lead. She doesn’t have much interest with toys, she’s more than happy doing her own thing on her walks.

Jessica loves a treat; we would recommend continuing with training by using treats, she doesn’t seem to know many commands.

Jessica Rabbit hasn’t met any cats while with us so we are unsure what she would be like. She’s got on well with the dogs she has met in our care. She can go to a home where any children are 8 +

Gary has been and still is hard at work collecting and packaging his bee's Pure Comb Honey and creating some Chunk Honey for you to try!

Due to emergency tree works, the old Newton Road is closed from Barn Owl area up to Whitpot Mill narrows.
Please ignore the diversion signs and simply drive through Kingskerswell village, thus avoiding the 5 mile diversion they want to send you on! This should be today only🤞🐾

We have some new signs and traffic calming measures installed so we can protect all animals, staff and public on site. The kennels is sometimes a very lively place so please be careful driving in the car park.

We would also like to please ask that anyone visiting with their dogs, keeps them on a lead for the safety of their pets and all animals staying with us.

Elton John is a cheeky JRT who is approximately 2 years old.

Elton is a lively boy, who spends his days on the go. He’s a very nosey boy and is always looking at the other dogs and what they are up to.

Elton loves playing with the other dogs we have here and is very happy when they want to play back. He doesn’t like to be walked on a lead; he might have had a bad experience with this before coming to us.

Elton does know a few commands which he will show you if you have a tasty snack in your hand.
Elton can live with other dogs, and any children in the home would need to be 6+

Elvis is still looking for a home!

Elvis is a lovely medium sized crossbreed who is approximately 1-2 years old.

Elvis is a playful boy who enjoys zoomies while out on his walks, the world is very exciting to him there is so much to learn!

Elvis enjoys having a treat or two. We would recommend continuing training using a treat. He knows how to sit but that’s about it.

Elvis loves playing with toys, his favourite game is tug of war and he doesn’t quite understand that the lead isn’t a toy!

Elvis has been friendly with the other dogs he has met at the kennels. We are not sure what he would be like with cats.

Elvis can go to a home where any children are 6 +

Aggy is still a puppy (nearly 10 months old)

She gets on with dogs and would need a home with older children.

Gary is a playful boy (he’s not aware of his size) he is an 18-month-old Mastiff.

Gary is a very calm dog in the kennels but once he goes out on his walks, he wants to show you what a playful boy he is. He does also LOVE a cuddle!

He does know some commands such as sit and paw, he has obviously had some training. He is very strong on the lead; he would probably benefit from an owner who has experience with larger breed dogs. We would recommend continuing with his training by using treats.

Gary really enjoys meeting the other dogs we have here for rehoming and just wants to play with them all. We are not sure what he would be like with cats. Gary can go to a home where children are 12+ (due to his size)

INTRODUCING GIMLI

Gimli is a stunning Bulldog who is approximately 2 years old.

Gimli is a very playful boy. He can play quite rough especially when he is excited. so will need an owner who has experience with bulldogs.

Gimli can be a stubborn boy and does seem to know any commands. He doesn’t seem to have much interest with treats or toys, but it might be when he’s in a home he may enjoy playing with toys.

Gimli has been fine with the dogs he’s has met here although he would be best suited with a female or a neutered male.
He can go to a home where any children are 14+

Rachel making friends with her fellow resident Elton.

Rachel is our longest resident!! (November) she enjoys spending her days lying on the sofa or being a wriggly worm down the field.

She can be rehomed with other dogs if the right introductions are carried out.. she will bark at other dogs if they get too much so she would benefit from a chilled out dog or to be an only dog in the home.

She’s finding kennel life a bit stressful so we are desperately trying to find her a sofa to call her own!!

Hey Zola here,

Another day and no visitors for me 🥲

I’ve been at the kennels for a long time now, I briefly went to a home but I came back because I didn’t understand cats were not toys. 🧸

I’m a good boy, I know lots of tricks that I’d love to show you.

I can live with dogs but I would need to be top dog 🐶

Can anyone offer me a home (either adult only or older children)

Hopefully I’ll see you soon, my paws are crossed!

Big Mac is a playful boy (he’s not aware of his size) he is a 1 year and 9 months old cane Corso x

Big Mac loves his food and his walks and enjoys playing with any toys. He’s a happy boy whose tail is always wagging!

He has recently had eye surgery as he had cherry eye in both eyes. The vets are very happy with his progress and have signed him off, but he will need eye drops for life. While he was at the vets he also got neutered. (poor boy has been through a lot)

He hasn’t had the best start to his life, he was neglected by his previous owners and since coming to the kennels he’s had nothing but love and a lot of attention.

Big mac has enjoyed playing with the dogs he has met at the kennels. He could go to a home where any children are 14+ (but if they have grown up around big dogs this would be up for discussion it’s purely due to his size!)

INTRODUCING Agatha

Agatha is an adorable American bulldog who is 8 months old.

Agatha (Aggy) is a lively Girl who always loves a fuss made of her. She hasn’t got the best manners this is probably down to lack of training. She does tend to jump up a lot.

Aggy knows a couple of commands which she will show you for a bowl of food. We would recommend reward-based training. She will sometimes ignore what we say and can be selective with her hearing.

Aggy can be a bit over the top when meeting other dogs as she likes to let them know that she’s the one in charge right from the get-go. She would be best suited to a younger laid-back dog that wouldn’t challenge her too much.

We would recommend muzzle training her at this moment due to her age she does not fall into the xl category but we are not sure how much she will grow.

Aggy has not met any cats while here with us. She can be homed with children 14yrs +

‼️ UPDATE ON BIG MAC ‼️

Look who's back! Mac went to doggy dr's on Friday for his operation to help fix his very sore eyes! We are so pleased with the progress he has made and his eyes look much healthier already.

He spent the day at the vets on Friday but is now back with us, we have tried to tell him that he can't be bouncing around like normal but he disagrees and is right back to acting like his fun, playful self ❤️

We want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone for their donations, care and love for Mac. He's such a lovely boy and once he's on the mend, we will begin the process of finding him the perfect home 🥰🐾💙

INTRODUCING Gorgonzola ….

Gorgonzola (Zola) is a lovely German shepherd who is 8 years old.

Gorgonzola has had a lot of training. He can sit, lay down, stay, wait and he has good recall. Its clear that someone had put a lot of effort in with him. Zola loves having a run around the field. And has also been enjoying lots of fuss off the staff. He’s a little cuddle bug!

He can be a little bit over the top with other dogs and is dominate. He could live with another dog if they would be happy with him being in charge!

Gorgonzola cannot live with any small animals in the home.

Zola is looking for either an adult only home or a home where the children are 14+ (He would also benefit from a large crate to help him settle).

All 3 of these doggies are available for rehoming and have been with us for a while; they have all been assessed and are ready to find their forever families 🐾❤️

Zola the German Shephard, Gouda the Boxer X Lab and Rachel the Staffie.

Please note they are ALL strays dogs so we have no background information on them.

Every so often we run training days here at the kennels. Mainly for staff but on some occasions we will open attendance up to members of the public.

On Wednesday 17th April we are hosting a Dog First Aid course which is being presented by Veterinary Task Force . The course will run from 9am - 4pm and will cost £150 per person.

We have 3 available spaces and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Hey! Big Mac here,

I just wanted to say thank you so much the kennels staff have told me how generous you have all been and we have reached our target!!

You have given my a chance to live a happy life!!

The surgery has been booked with the Dogtor to fix my eyes.. I will then go up for rehoming once I’m all healed! 😃

I will keep you all updated! And let you know when I’m ready to find a home!!

Hopefully I’ll see some of you soon!!
